- Battery Compartment: Located on the back, holds 4 AA batteries.
Setup
1. Install Batteries
- Open the battery compartment cover on the back of the monitor.
- Insert the 4 AA batteries (included) according to the polarity indicators (+ and -) inside the compartment.
- Close the battery compartment cover securely.
2. Attach the Arm Cuff
- Insert the air plug of the arm cuff firmly into the air jack on the left side of the monitor.
- Ensure the connection is secure to prevent air leakage during measurement.
Operating Instructions
1. Prepare for Measurement
- Sit in a comfortable position with your back supported and feet flat on the floor.
- Rest your arm on a flat surface so the cuff is at heart level.
- Avoid talking or moving during the measurement.
- Ensure you have not consumed caffeine, alcohol, or smoked for at least 30 minutes prior to measurement.
2. Apply the Arm Cuff
- Slide your left arm through the cuff loop. The air tube should run down the inside of your arm.
- Position the cuff so the bottom edge is approximately 1-2 cm (0.4-0.8 inches) above your elbow joint. The artery mark on the cuff should align with your brachial artery.
- Wrap the cuff snugly around your upper arm, securing it with the hook-and-loop fastener. Ensure it is not too tight or too loose.

3. Take a Measurement
- Press the START/STOP button to turn on the monitor.
- Select your user ID (M1 or M2) by pressing the corresponding button.
- The cuff will automatically inflate and then slowly deflate. The monitor uses measure-during-deflating technology for fast results.
- Once the measurement is complete, your systolic pressure, diastolic pressure, and pulse rate will be displayed on the screen.
- The reading will be automatically stored in the selected user's memory. The device stores up to 120 measurements for each of two users.
- Press the START/STOP button again to turn off the monitor, or it will automatically shut off after a period of inactivity.
Understanding Your Readings:
- Systolic Pressure (SYS): The top number, indicating the pressure in your arteries when your heart beats.
- Diastolic Pressure (DIA): The bottom number, indicating the pressure in your arteries between beats.
- Pulse Rate (PUL/min): Your heart rate, or the number of times your heart beats per minute.
- WHO Indicator: The monitor includes a color-coded scale based on World Health Organization guidelines to help you understand your blood pressure category.
- Irregular Heartbeat Detector: If an irregular heartbeat is detected, a symbol will appear on the display. Consult your physician if this occurs frequently.
