4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Understanding Detection Capabilities
The Linptech sensor utilizes 24G mmWave radar to detect various states of human presence:
- Motion Detection: Detects significant movement within its range.
- Micro-Motion Detection: Detects subtle movements, such as breathing or slight shifts in position.
- Stationary Presence Detection: Maintains detection even when a person is completely still, ensuring continuous presence recognition (e.g., when reading or working quietly).

5. Maintenance
5.1 Cleaning
To maintain optimal performance, periodically clean the sensor's surface with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents, as these may damage the device.
5.2 Firmware Updates
Firmware updates may be released to improve performance or add new features. These updates are typically managed through the Tuya Smart or Smart Life APP. Ensure your sensor is connected to power and Wi-Fi during updates.
Note: Some advanced features, such as disabling the LED indicator, may require a specific firmware version (e.g., 1.0.6) and might only be configurable via a Tuya hub.
6. Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Sensor not connecting to Wi-Fi. | Incorrect Wi-Fi band (only 2.4 GHz supported); weak signal; incorrect password. | Ensure your router is broadcasting a 2.4 GHz network. Move the sensor closer to the router. Double-check Wi-Fi password. |
| Sensor not detecting presence accurately. | Improper placement; interference from objects (e.g., ceiling fan); sensitivity settings too low. | Adjust sensor placement to ensure clear line of sight. Avoid placing near moving objects. Adjust sensitivity settings in the app. |
| Sensor's blue LED blinks constantly. | Normal operation when presence is detected; older firmware version. | This is normal behavior. If you wish to disable it, check for firmware updates via the Tuya app. Note that some firmware versions or hub types may not support this feature. |
| Cannot pair sensor with Smartthings, Homekit, etc. | Incompatibility with certain platforms. | The sensor is designed for direct compatibility with Alexa, Tuya Smart, and Smart Life APP. It does not natively support Smartthings, IFTTT, Homekit, or Home Assistant. |
| Sensor loses connection frequently. | Unstable Wi-Fi connection; power interruptions. | Ensure a stable 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi signal. Check power supply to the sensor. Restart your Wi-Fi router and the sensor. |
