  2. Initial Clean Water Cycle:
    • Fill the water reservoir to the MAX level with clean water. Do not add any liquid other than water.
    • Close the lid and place your mug on the drip tray.
    • Plug the appliance into a grounded outlet.
    • Press the ON/OFF button once to start brewing. The button will flash 3 times.

Follow these steps to brew your coffee:

  1. Add Water: Fill the water reservoir with your desired amount of water (6, 8, 10, or 12 oz). Do not exceed the MAX fill line.
  2. Insert Coffee:
    • For K-Cup Pods: Lift the release lever to unlock the top cover. Insert a K-cup capsule into the capsule holder. Ensure the capsule is level with the edge of the holder and pushed down with enough force for the exit needle to puncture it.
    • For Ground Coffee: Fill the reusable ground coffee filter with your desired amount of ground coffee. Insert the filled filter into the brewing chamber.
  3. Close Lid: Close the top lid firmly. Ensure the capsule holder or ground coffee filter is placed horizontally in the slot, otherwise the top cover will not close properly.
  4. Place Mug: Place your mug on the drip tray.
  5. Start Brewing: Press the ON/OFF button once to begin brewing. The button will flash during brewing and turn solid when complete.
  6. Enjoy: Your coffee will be ready in approximately 120 seconds.

Important Note:

  • • Do not remove or puncture the foil lid before inserting a K-cup capsule into the holder.
  • • If the top cover is not properly closed, the capsule puncturing mechanism will not lower and latch.
  • • After brewing, do not open the top cover to remove the holder or filter immediately to avoid burns from hot steam or coffee.

6. Troubleshooting

If you encounter any issues with your Horavie Mini Single Serve Coffee Maker, please refer to the following common solutions:

  • Coffee Not Brewing / No Water Dispensed:
    • Ensure the water reservoir is filled above the minimum level and below the maximum fill line.
    • Check that the appliance is properly plugged into a grounded outlet.
    • Verify that the K-cup holder or ground coffee filter is correctly seated and the top lid is fully closed and latched. The handle of the K-Pod holder and filter should be placed horizontally in the coffee machine slot.
    • The descaling light may be on, indicating a need for descaling. Follow the maintenance instructions to descale the machine.
  • Weak Coffee:
    • Ensure you are using the appropriate amount of ground coffee for your desired strength, or select a stronger K-cup pod.
    • Check that the brew size selected (water level) matches your preference for coffee strength. Less water results in stronger coffee.
  • Coffee Not Hot Enough:
    • Ensure the machine has completed its heating cycle before brewing.
    • Pre-heat your mug with hot water before brewing.
  • Lid Not Closing Properly:
    • Ensure the K-Pod holder or ground coffee filter is inserted correctly and horizontally.
    • Check for any obstructions preventing the lid from closing fully.
