This manual provides essential information for the proper setup, operation, and maintenance of your Ultimate Ears MINIROLL Ultra-Portable Waterproof Bluetooth Speaker. Please read these instructions carefully before using your device.

Setup
1. Charging the Speaker
Before initial use, fully charge your MINIROLL speaker.
- Locate the USB-C charging port on the side of the speaker.
- Connect the provided USB-C cable to the speaker and a compatible USB power source (e.g., wall adapter, computer USB port).
- The charging indicator light will show the charging status. A full charge takes approximately 2.65 hours.
- A fully charged speaker provides up to 12 hours of playtime.

2. Powering On/Off
- To power on, press the Power On button located on the side of the speaker.
- To power off, press and hold the Power On button until the speaker indicates it is turning off.
3. Bluetooth Pairing
Connect your MINIROLL to a Bluetooth-enabled device.
- Ensure the speaker is powered on.
- Press and hold the Power On button for approximately 3 seconds until you hear a tone and the Bluetooth indicator light flashes, indicating pairing mode.
- On your device (smartphone, tablet, laptop), go to Bluetooth settings and select "MINIROLL" from the list of available devices.
- Once connected, the speaker will confirm with an audible tone, and the Bluetooth indicator light will glow solid.

Operating Instructions
Volume Control
Adjust the volume using the large '+' and '-' buttons on the front of the speaker.
- Press the '+' button to increase volume.
- Press the '-' button to decrease volume.
Play/Pause
Control audio playback directly from the speaker.
- Press the Play/Pause button (located near the charging port) once to play or pause audio.
Auracast™ / PartyUp Mode
Connect multiple MINIROLL speakers wirelessly for a louder, more immersive audio experience using Auracast™ technology.
- Ensure all MINIROLL speakers you wish to connect are powered on and not currently paired to a device.
- On the primary speaker (the one connected to your audio source), press and hold the Play/Pause button for approximately 3 seconds until you hear a tone, indicating PartyUp mode.
- Repeat this step for each additional MINIROLL speaker you want to add to the group.
- The speakers will automatically connect, and audio will play simultaneously through all paired speakers.

Portability Features
The MINIROLL is designed for on-the-go use with its integrated strap.
- Use the flexible strap to attach the speaker to backpacks, bike handlebars, or other objects.
- Its compact size and durable construction make it suitable for various outdoor activities.

Maintenance
Waterproof and Dustproof Care
The MINIROLL speaker has an IP67 rating, meaning it is waterproof and dustproof.
- It can be submerged in 1 meter (3.3 feet) of water for up to 30 minutes.
- After exposure to water, ensure the USB-C port cover is securely closed.
- Allow the speaker to dry completely before charging to prevent damage.
- Rinse with fresh water after exposure to salt water or chlorinated water.

Cleaning
To clean your speaker, use a soft, damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents.
Battery Care
- For optimal battery life, avoid fully discharging the battery frequently.
- Store the speaker in a cool, dry place when not in use for extended periods.
Troubleshooting
No Power / Not Charging
- Ensure the charging cable is securely connected to both the speaker and the power source.
- Verify the power source is active.
- Try a different USB-C cable or power adapter.
- Check the USB-C port for any debris that might obstruct the connection.
Bluetooth Connectivity Issues
- Speaker not appearing in device list: Ensure the speaker is in pairing mode (flashing Bluetooth indicator).
- Cannot connect:
- Turn off and then on the speaker.
- Turn off and then on Bluetooth on your device.
- Move the speaker closer to your device (within 40 meters / 131 feet).
- Forget "MINIROLL" from your device's Bluetooth settings and attempt to pair again.
- Ensure your device's software is up to date.
- Intermittent connection: Reduce interference by moving away from other wireless devices or obstacles.
No Sound / Distorted Sound
- Increase the volume on both the speaker and your connected device.
- Ensure the speaker is properly paired and connected to your device.
- Try playing audio from a different application or device.
- If using PartyUp, ensure all speakers are correctly linked.
PartyUp Not Working
- Ensure all MINIROLL speakers are powered on and not individually paired to a device before initiating PartyUp mode.
- Follow the PartyUp instructions carefully, pressing and holding the Play/Pause button on each speaker to join the group.
- Note: The MINIROLL does not support connection with older Ultimate Ears speaker models that use the UE Boom/Megaboom app for PartyUp. It uses Auracast™ for multi-speaker pairing.
