3. Setup

3.1 Battery Installation

Locate the battery compartment on the underside of the scale.
Open the battery compartment cover.
Insert the 2 AAA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
Close the battery compartment cover securely.

Note: Do not mix new and used batteries. Replace both batteries simultaneously when the low battery indicator appears.

3.2 Scale Placement

Place the scale on a hard, flat, and stable surface to ensure accurate measurements. Avoid placing it on soft or uneven surfaces, which can affect precision.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Power On/Off

To turn on, press the ON/OFF button. The display will show '0' or '0.0'.
To turn off, press and hold the ON/OFF button for a few seconds. The scale will also automatically turn off after 2 minutes of inactivity.

4.2 Unit Conversion

The scale offers 5 measurement units. To switch between units (kg, lb:oz, fl'oz, ml, g):

With the scale on, press the UNIT button repeatedly until your desired unit is displayed.

4.3 Tare Function

The Tare function allows you to subtract the weight of a container, so you only measure the ingredients.

Place an empty container on the scale. The display will show its weight.
Press the TARE button. The display will reset to '0' or '0.0'.
Add your ingredients to the container. The display will now show only the weight of the ingredients.

4.4 Measurement

Turn on the scale and select your desired unit.
If using a container, perform the Tare function as described above.
Place the item(s) to be weighed on the center of the scale platform.
Read the stable weight displayed on the LCD.

5. Maintenance and Care

5.1 Cleaning

The scale features a waterproof panel for easy cleaning.

Wipe the scale surface with a damp cloth.
For stubborn stains, use a mild detergent and then wipe clean with a damp cloth.
Do not immerse the scale in water or use abrasive cleaners.

5.2 Storage

Store the scale in a cool, dry place. Avoid extreme temperatures and high humidity.

'Lo' or 'Low Battery' displayed: Replace both AAA batteries.
'O-Ld' or 'Overload' displayed: The weight on the scale exceeds its maximum capacity (15kg/33lb). Remove items immediately to prevent damage.
Inaccurate readings:
- Ensure the scale is on a hard, flat, and stable surface.
- Check battery levels.
- Ensure nothing is touching the scale platform or interfering with its sensors.
