Maintenance
Daily Cleaning
- Empty and clean the drip tray after each use.
- Remove and clean the portafilter and filter basket. Rinse under warm water to remove all coffee grounds.
- Wipe down the exterior of the machine with a soft, damp cloth.
- Clean the steam wand immediately after use as described in the operating instructions.
Descaling
Regular descaling is crucial to maintain machine performance and extend its lifespan. The frequency depends on water hardness and usage.
- Prepare Descaling Solution: Mix a descaling solution (e.g., citric acid or commercial descaler) with water according to the product instructions. Fill the water tank with this solution.
- Run Solution: Place a large container under the brew head and steam wand. Run half of the solution through the brew head (without coffee). Then, run the remaining solution through the steam wand.
- Rinse: Fill the water tank with fresh water and run it through both the brew head and steam wand to rinse the system thoroughly. Repeat with fresh water once more.
