4. Setup
4.1 Charging Base Placement
- Choose a location for the charging base against a wall, on a hard, level surface.
- Ensure there is at least 0.5 meters (1.6 feet) of clear space on either side of the charging base and 1.5 meters (4.9 feet) in front of it.
- Plug the charging adapter into the charging base and then into a power outlet.
4.2 Initial Charge
- Place the RCV 2 onto the charging base, ensuring the charging contacts align.
- The robot will begin charging. Allow for a full charge before first use (approximately 4-5 hours). The indicator light on the robot will change to indicate a full charge.
4.3 Side Brush Installation

5.1 Powering On/Off
- To power on, press and hold the power button on the robot until the indicator lights illuminate.

6. Maintenance

6.1 Emptying the Dust Bin
- Press the release button to remove the 2-in-1 reservoir from the robot.
- Open the dust bin compartment and empty its contents into a waste bin.
- Clean the dust bin with a dry cloth or brush.
6.2 Cleaning/Refilling the Water Tank
- Remove the 2-in-1 reservoir.
- Open the water tank cap and fill with clean water. Do not use detergents or cleaning solutions not approved by Kärcher.
- After mopping, empty any remaining water and rinse the tank.
6.3 Cleaning Brushes and Filter
