The Miele Duoflex Total Care is a versatile, cordless, and bagless multi-use vacuum cleaner designed for various floor types and cleaning tasks. It features a powerful Digital Efficiency Motor, a long-lasting lithium-ion battery, and a hygienic filtration system.
2. Safety Instructions
Always follow basic safety precautions when using electrical appliances to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, or injury.
- Read all instructions before using the appliance.
- Do not use outdoors or on wet surfaces.
- Do not allow to be used as a toy. Close attention is necessary when used by or near children.
- Use only as described in this manual. Use only manufacturer’s recommended attachments.
- Do not use with damaged cord or plug. If appliance is not working as it should, has been dropped, damaged, left outdoors, or dropped into water, return it to a service center.
- Do not pull or carry by cord, use cord as a handle, close a door on cord, or pull cord around sharp edges or corners. Do not run appliance over cord. Keep cord away from heated surfaces.
- Do not unplug by pulling on cord. To unplug, grasp the plug, not the cord.
- Do not handle plug or appliance with wet hands.
- Do not put any object into openings. Do not use with any opening blocked; keep free of dust, lint, hair, and anything that may reduce air flow.
- Keep hair, loose clothing, fingers, and all parts of body away from openings and moving parts.
- Do not pick up anything that is burning or smoking, such as cigarettes, matches, or hot ashes.
- Use extra care when cleaning on stairs.
- Do not use to pick up flammable or combustible liquids, such as gasoline, or use in areas where they may be present.
- Do not pick up toxic material (chlorine bleach, ammonia, drain cleaner, etc.).
- Do not use without dust bag and/or filters in place.
- Prevent unintentional starting. Ensure the switch is in the off-position before connecting to battery pack, picking up or carrying the appliance.
- Charge only with the charger specified by the manufacturer. A charger that is suitable for one type of battery pack may create a risk of fire when used with another battery pack.
- Use appliances only with specifically designated battery packs. Use of any other battery packs may create a risk of injury and fire.

4. Setup
4.1 Assembly
- Main Unit Assembly: Connect the main power unit to the extension wand. Ensure it clicks securely into place.
- Attach Cleaning Head: Connect your desired cleaning head (e.g., Intelligent Electrobrush) to the end of the extension wand.
- Battery Installation: Insert the lithium-ion battery into the designated slot on the main unit.
4.2 Charging the Battery
Before first use, fully charge the battery. The battery level can be checked via the LED indicator on the main unit.
- Connect the charger to a power outlet.
- Connect the charger to the charging port on the SpeedLock Wall Bracket or directly to the battery if removed.
- A full charge takes approximately 3.5 hours.

4.3 Mounting the Wall Bracket
The SpeedLock Wall Bracket provides convenient storage and charging.
- Choose a suitable location near a power outlet.
- Securely mount the SpeedLock Wall Bracket to the wall using appropriate screws and anchors (not included).
- Place the vacuum cleaner onto the bracket for storage and charging.

5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Powering On/Off and Adjusting Power Levels
The vacuum cleaner features multiple power levels for different cleaning needs.
- To power on, slide the power switch to the desired setting (Min, Eco, Max).
- To power off, slide the power switch to the '0' position.
- The Digital Efficiency Motor provides powerful suction across all settings.

5.2 Using Different Configurations (SpeedLock)
The innovative SpeedLock system allows for quick transitions between configurations.
- Stick Vacuum: Use with the extension wand and main cleaning head for floors.
- Handheld Unit: Detach the main power unit from the extension wand using the SpeedLock mechanism for quick clean-ups or upholstery.
- Extended Reach: Attach accessories directly to the extension wand for high-up areas or hard-to-reach spots.

5.3 Using Attachments
- Intelligent Electrobrush / MultiFloor Electrobrush: Automatically adjusts to different floor types for optimal cleaning performance on carpets and hard floors.
- Universal Brush (HX-UB): Ideal for cleaning sensitive surfaces without scratching.
- Compact Handheld Electrobrush: Designed for deep cleaning upholstery and car seats, effective for pet hair and fluff.
- Extendable Crevice Tool: Reaches difficult-to-access, narrow crevices, and gaps. Its flexible middle piece allows for cleaning around inaccessible corners.
- Flexible Suction Hose: Extends up to 47 inches for maximum reach and maneuverability, suitable for ceilings and high shelves.

6. Maintenance
6.1 Emptying the Dust Container (Click2open)
The bagless design allows for easy and hygienic emptying.
- Locate the Click2open button on the dust container.
- Position the dust container over a trash bin.
- Press the Click2open button to release the bottom flap and empty the dust and debris.
- Close the flap securely until it clicks.

6.2 Cleaning Filters (Hygienic Filtration)
The Duoflex includes a hygiene filter for 99.99% vacuum filtration.
- Refer to the user manual for specific instructions on accessing and removing the hygiene filter.
- Clean the filter according to the manufacturer's recommendations (non-washable filter type).
- Ensure the filter is completely dry before reinserting.
