Setup
1. Assembly
Connect the main unit to the wand, and then attach the desired floorhead (e.g., MultiFloor Electrobrush) to the other end of the wand. Ensure all connections click securely into place.

2. Charging the Battery
The Miele Duoflex Extra is powered by a Lithium-Ion battery. Before first use, fully charge the battery.
- Using the SpeedLock Wall Bracket: Mount the SpeedLock Wall Bracket to a suitable wall. Connect the charging cable to the bracket. Place the main unit onto the bracket; it will automatically begin charging.
- Direct Charging: Alternatively, you can plug the charging cable directly into the main unit for charging without the wall bracket.
The LED indicator lights on the main unit will show the battery level and charging status. A full charge takes approximately 3.5 hours.

3. Attaching Accessories
Accessories like the Crevice Tool, Dusting Brush, Soft Universal Brush, and Upholstery Nozzle can be attached directly to the main unit or the wand for extended reach. The SpeedLock system allows for quick changes between configurations.

Operating Instructions
1. Power On/Off and Suction Control
Press the power button on the main unit to turn the vacuum on or off. Use the suction control button to switch between two power levels: low for delicate surfaces and high for maximum cleaning performance.
2. Using the MultiFloor Electrobrush
The Intelligent MultiFloor Electrobrush automatically adjusts suction power based on the floor type, gliding smoothly from hard floors to carpets. It can also lay flat to reach under low furniture.

3. Specialized Attachments
- Soft Universal Brush (HX-UB): Ideal for sensitive surfaces that are prone to scratching, such as furniture or delicate electronics.
- Crevice Tool: Perfect for cleaning tight spaces, corners, and along edges.
- Upholstery Nozzle: Designed for effective cleaning of upholstered furniture, curtains, and mattresses.

4. Flexible Use

Maintenance
1. Emptying the Dust Bin
The Click2Open feature allows for quick and hygienic emptying of the dust bin. Simply press the release button to open the bottom flap and empty collected dirt directly into a waste bin.

2. Cleaning the Hygiene Filter
The Duoflex includes a Hygiene Filter for 99.99% vacuum filtration. The filter is non-washable and should be replaced periodically according to usage. Refer to the full manual for replacement instructions.

3. Cleaning the MultiFloor Electrobrush
To maintain optimal performance, regularly check the brush roll for tangled hair or debris. The brush roll can be easily removed for cleaning by twisting the side lock mechanism.
