4. Setup

4.1 Charging the Battery

Before first use, fully charge both batteries. The battery features multiple protection mechanisms and a power display.

1. Connect the charger to a standard power outlet.
2. Insert the battery into the charger. The indicator light on the charger will show the charging status.
3. A full charge typically takes 2-3 hours. Disconnect the battery once fully charged.

4.2 Installing the Guide Bar and Chain

The Goldsea chainsaw features a tool-free knob for easy installation and adjustment.

1. Ensure the battery is removed from the chainsaw.
2. Loosen the integrated locking knob on the side cover.
3. Remove the side cover.
4. Place the chain around the sprocket and guide bar, ensuring the cutting teeth are facing the correct direction (refer to the arrow on the guide bar).
5. Align the guide bar onto the chainsaw body, ensuring the chain fits into the guide bar groove.
6. Replace the side cover and slightly tighten the locking knob.
7. Adjust the chain tension by turning the knob until the chain is snug but can still be pulled freely by hand. The chain should not sag from the bottom of the guide bar.
8. Fully tighten the locking knob to secure the guide bar and chain.

4.3 Filling the Lubrication Tank

This mini electric chainsaw includes a lubrication tank for automatic oiling.

1. Locate the oil tank cap on the chainsaw body.
2. Unscrew the cap and fill the tank with appropriate chainsaw bar and chain oil. Do not use motor oil or waste oil.
3. Replace the cap securely.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Starting the Chainsaw

1. Ensure the battery is fully charged and securely inserted into the chainsaw.
2. Wear all recommended personal protective equipment.
3. To start the chainsaw, you must simultaneously press the safety lock button (usually located near the handle) and then squeeze the trigger switch. This prevents accidental starting.
