1. Setup
1.1 Unpacking and Contents
Carefully unpack all components from the packaging. Verify that all items listed below are present and undamaged. If any items are missing or damaged, contact customer support.

1.2 Battery Charging and Installation
Before first use, fully charge the 20V-6Ah Lithium-Ion battery using the provided 2.4A fast charger. Insert the battery into the charger and plug the charger into a standard electrical outlet. The indicator light on the charger will show the charging status. Once fully charged, remove the battery from the charger.
To install the battery, align it with the battery slot on the saw unit or the pole handle and slide it in until it clicks securely into place. Ensure the battery is firmly seated before operation.
1.3 Saw Head and Pole Assembly
The JOVANT pole saw is a 2-in-1 tool, allowing use as a handheld mini chainsaw or attached to an extension pole. To assemble the pole saw:
- Ensure the mini chainsaw unit is powered off and the battery is removed.
- Locate the attachment point on the mini chainsaw unit and the corresponding end of the telescoping pole.
- Align and connect the chainsaw unit to the pole. Secure it using the locking mechanism (typically a button or lever) until it is firmly attached.

2. Operation
2.1 Safety Guidelines
- Always wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety glasses, gloves, and hearing protection.
- Ensure a stable footing and clear work area before operating the saw.
- Keep bystanders, especially children and pets, away from the work area.
- Do not operate the saw in wet conditions or near flammable liquids or gases.
- The saw features a security lock. To start the saw, you must press both the security lock and the trigger simultaneously.
- The rotatable protective baffle automatically resets with the cut, preventing wood chips and fine twigs from splashing.
2.2 Using the Pole Saw
For trimming high branches, attach the mini chainsaw to the telescoping pole. Extend the pole to the required length, ensuring all clamps are securely tightened. Maintain a firm grip on the pole and position the saw head against the branch to be cut. Start the saw and allow the chain to reach full speed before engaging the wood. Use a steady, controlled motion to cut through the branch. Avoid overreaching or cutting branches thicker than the saw's capacity.

2.3 Using the Mini Chainsaw
For cutting smaller logs or branches at ground level, detach the mini chainsaw from the pole. Hold the saw firmly with both hands, ensuring a secure grip on the comfort grip handle. Position the saw against the wood, activate the security lock and trigger, and allow the chain to reach full speed. Apply gentle, consistent pressure to cut through the wood. Avoid forcing the saw, as this can lead to kickback or damage.

3. Maintenance
3.1 Chain Lubrication and Care
Regularly check the oil level in the automatic lubrication system reservoir. Refill with quality bar and chain oil as needed. A well-lubricated chain reduces friction, prevents overheating, and extends the life of both the chain and the bar. Inspect the chain for sharpness and damage. A dull chain will cut slowly and can cause excessive wear on the motor. Sharpen or replace the chain as necessary.
3.2 Cleaning and Storage
After each use, disconnect the battery and thoroughly clean the saw. Remove any sawdust, debris, and resin from the chain, guide bar, and motor housing. Use a brush or compressed air for hard-to-reach areas. Store the saw in a dry, secure location, away from children and extreme temperatures. 3.3 Battery Care
