Setup and Installation
Follow these steps to properly set up your COOAU D30S Dash Cam:
- Prepare the Memory Card: The included 256GB memory card is pre-formatted and inserted. If using a different card, ensure it is a high-speed (Class 10 or higher) U3 Micro SD card and format it within the dash cam settings before first use.
- Attach the Suction Mount: Clean the windshield area where you intend to mount the dash cam. Press the suction cup firmly against the glass and flip the lever to secure it. Ensure the camera has a clear view of the road and the cabin.
- Mount the Dash Cam: Slide the dash cam onto the suction mount until it clicks into place. Adjust the angle of the camera to ensure optimal recording coverage for both the front and interior lenses.
- Connect Power: Plug the car charger into your vehicle's cigarette lighter socket. Connect the USB data cable from the car charger to the dash cam's power input port. Route the cable neatly along the windshield trim to avoid obstructing your view.
- Power On: The dash cam will automatically power on and begin recording when your vehicle's ignition is turned on.

Recording Modes
The D30S supports various recording configurations:
- Dual Recording (Front 2.5K + Inside 1080P): Simultaneously captures video from the front (170° wide angle) and cabin (150° wide angle) cameras. Ideal for rideshare drivers and comprehensive incident recording.
- Single Front Recording (4K): When only the front camera is active, it records in stunning 4K (3840x2160P@30fps) resolution, providing exceptional clarity for road signs and license plates.

Loop Recording
The dash cam records video in continuous loops. When the memory card reaches its capacity, the oldest unlocked files are automatically overwritten by new recordings. This ensures continuous recording without manual intervention. The included 256GB card provides ample storage before overwriting occurs.
