3. Setup
Follow these steps for initial setup of your ThinkScan 689:
- Power On: Press and hold the power button located on the top right side of the device until the screen illuminates.
- Initial Configuration: Follow the on-screen prompts to select your language, time zone, and other initial settings.
- Wi-Fi Connection: Connect the device to a stable Wi-Fi network to enable software updates and online services.

4. Operating the ThinkScan 689
4.1 Connecting to Vehicle
Locate your vehicle's OBD-II port, typically found under the dashboard on the driver's side. Connect the DB15 cable from the ThinkScan 689 to the vehicle's OBD-II port. Ensure a secure connection.

4.2 Auto VIN Scan
The Auto VIN feature automatically identifies your vehicle's make, model, and year, allowing for quick access to the diagnostic system. From the main menu, select 'Diagnose' and then 'AutoSearch' to initiate the VIN scan.

4.3 Full System Diagnostics (Health Report)

4.4 Reading and Clearing DTCs
