Important Safety Instructions
Before using your Shark S8201 Steam & Scrub Steam Mop, please read all instructions carefully. Failure to follow these instructions may result in electric shock, fire, or serious injury.

- Use only distilled or demineralized water in the water tank to prevent mineral buildup and extend the life of your steam mop.

Assembly
- Attach the Handle: Insert the handle into the main body of the steam mop until it clicks securely into place.
- Attach the Mop Head: Align the mop head with the main body and push it firmly until it locks.
- Attach Dirt Grip Pads: Place the Dirt Grip pads on the bottom of the mop head, aligning them with the hook-and-loop fasteners. The pads should be centered and flat.

Operating Instructions
Filling the Water Tank
- Ensure the steam mop is unplugged.
- Open the water tank cap located on the front of the unit.
- Use the provided filling flask to pour distilled or demineralized water into the tank. Do not overfill.
- Close the water tank cap securely.
Selecting Steam Modes
The Shark S8201 offers three intelligent steam modes for various cleaning needs:
- LIGHT: For light cleaning and everyday messes on delicate surfaces.
- NORMAL: For daily cleaning and general use on most hard floor surfaces.
- DEEP: For tough messes, stuck-on stains, and sanitization.
To select a mode, plug in the mop and press the corresponding button on the control panel. The mop will begin to heat up, indicated by the illuminated mode light.

Using the Steam Blaster Technology
The Steam Blaster feature provides a concentrated burst of steam for targeted cleaning of stubborn stains.
- To activate, tilt the mop handle back to lift the mop head slightly off the floor.
- Press and hold the Steam Blaster button located on the handle.
- Direct the concentrated steam onto the stain.
- Release the button and lower the mop head to scrub the area with the rotating pads.

Cleaning Tips
- Always vacuum or sweep the floor before steam cleaning to remove loose dirt and debris.
- For optimal sanitization, move the mop slowly and evenly over the surface.
- The mop is designed for use on all sealed hard floors, including hardwood, marble, tile, stone, laminate, and vinyl.
- The swivel steering and LED headlights assist in maneuvering around furniture and illuminating hidden debris.

Maintenance
Cleaning Dirt Grip Pads
The Dirt Grip pads are washable and reusable. For best results, wash them after each use.
- Remove the pads from the mop head.
- Machine wash the pads separately with liquid detergent. Avoid bleach and fabric softeners, as these can damage the pads.
- Tumble dry on a low setting or air dry.
- Replace pads when they become worn or lose their scrubbing effectiveness.

Storing the Mop
- Ensure the water tank is empty before storing.
- Allow the mop and pads to cool completely before storing.
- Store the mop in a dry, protected area.
Troubleshooting
