Operating Instructions
Powering On/Off and Mode Selection
The XP80R features five distinct light modes: Medium, High, Low, Turbo, and MoonGlow™.
- To Power On/Off: Press the power button once to turn the flashlight on. Press again to cycle through modes. Hold the power button for approximately 1 second to turn it off from any mode.
- Mode Cycling: With the flashlight on, press the power button repeatedly to cycle through the modes in the following order: Medium → High → Low → MoonGlow.
- Turbo Mode: To activate the maximum 15,000 lumen Turbo mode, double-press the power button quickly from any active mode. Turbo mode provides a burst of maximum brightness and will automatically step down to a lower mode after a short period to prevent overheating and conserve battery.

Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your Coast XP80R flashlight, refer to the following common solutions:
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Flashlight does not turn on. | Battery is depleted or incorrectly installed. | Charge the ZITHION-X™ battery or replace AA alkaline batteries. Ensure batteries are inserted with correct polarity. Check if power lock-out is engaged. |
| Light output is dim. | Low battery charge. Flashlight is in a lower mode. Overheat protection activated. | Recharge the battery. Cycle through modes to select a brighter setting. Allow the flashlight to cool down if it has been in high output for an extended period. |
| Beam focus is not adjusting. | BEAM LOCK® is engaged. | Twist the head counter-clockwise to disengage BEAM LOCK®. |
| Flashlight gets hot during use. | Normal operation for high-lumen flashlights. Overheat protection may reduce output. | This is expected. If discomfort occurs, switch to a lower mode or turn off the flashlight to allow it to cool. |
