6. Maintenance

6.1 Cleaning

To maintain the performance and appearance of your mouse:

  • Use a soft, lint-free cloth slightly dampened with water or a mild cleaning solution to wipe the surface.
  • Avoid using harsh chemicals, abrasives, or solvents, as these can damage the mouse's finish.
  • Ensure no liquid enters the mouse's internal components.

6.2 Battery Care

To prolong the life of the built-in rechargeable battery:

  • Avoid fully discharging the battery frequently.
  • Store the mouse in a cool, dry place when not in use for extended periods.
  • Charge the mouse regularly, even if not used daily, to prevent deep discharge.

7. Troubleshooting

7.1 Mouse Not Responding

  • Check Power: Ensure the mouse is turned ON using the power switch.
  • Check Battery: Recharge the mouse if the low-battery indicator is on or if it has not been charged recently.
  • Check Connection Mode: Verify that the correct connection mode (2.4G, BT1, or BT2) is selected using the 'Switch Button'.
  • For 2.4G: Ensure the USB receiver is securely plugged into your computer. Try a different USB port.
  • For Bluetooth: Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your device. Re-pair the mouse if the connection is lost (refer to Section 4.2.2).
  • Restart Device: Sometimes restarting your computer or device can resolve connectivity issues.

7.2 Cursor Movement is Erratic or Lagging

  • Check Surface: Ensure you are using the mouse on a clean, non-reflective surface. A mouse pad is recommended.
  • Adjust DPI: Try changing the DPI setting using the 'DPI Button' to see if a different sensitivity improves performance.
  • Interference: Move the mouse closer to the receiver (for 2.4G) or your Bluetooth device to minimize potential interference.
  • Clean Sensor: Gently clean the optical sensor on the underside of the mouse with a soft, dry cloth.

7.3 Forward/Backward Buttons Not Working on Mac OS

This is expected behavior. The forward and backward buttons are not compatible with Mac OS systems due to operating system limitations.
