The CALLMATE Roadrunner CM-2-VC is a compact car dashboard camera designed to record your driving journey in Full HD resolution. 4. Setup and Installation

4.1 Inserting the Micro SD Card

  1. Ensure the camera is powered off.
  2. Locate the Micro SD card slot on the side of the camera.
  3. Insert a Class 10 or higher Micro SD card (up to 32GB, not included) into the slot until it clicks into place.
  4. To remove, gently push the card in until it springs out.

4.2 Mounting the Camera

  1. Clean the windshield area where you intend to mount the camera.
  2. Attach the suction mount to the camera.
  3. Press the suction cup firmly against the windshield and flip the lock lever to secure it.
  4. Adjust the camera angle to ensure a clear view of the road.

4.3 Connecting Power

  1. Connect the provided power cable to the camera's power input port.
  2. Plug the other end of the power cable into your car's 12V power outlet (cigarette lighter socket).
  3. Route the cable neatly along the windshield and dashboard to avoid obstructing your view or interfering with driving.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Power On/Off

  • The camera will automatically power on and begin recording when connected to the car's power and the engine starts.
  • It will automatically power off when the car's engine is turned off and power supply is cut.
  • To manually power on/off, press and hold the Power button.

5.2 Basic Recording

  • Once powered on, the camera will automatically start continuous loop recording.
  • Videos are saved in segments (e.g., 1, 3, or 5 minutes) and stored on the Micro SD card.
  • When the SD card is full, the oldest unlocked files will be overwritten by new recordings.

5.3 G-Sensor (Emergency Recording)

  • Ensure the camera is powered or has sufficient battery charge for this function.

5.5 Parking Monitor

  • The Parking Monitor function provides surveillance when your vehicle is parked.

7. Troubleshooting

  • Camera not powering on:
    - Check if the power cable is securely connected to both the camera and the car's 12V outlet.
    - Ensure the car's 12V outlet is functioning (test with another device).
    - The internal battery may be depleted; connect to power and allow it to charge for a few minutes.
  • Camera stops recording or freezes:
    - Ensure a Class 10 or higher Micro SD card is used.
    - Format the Micro SD card in the camera's settings menu.
    - Try a different Micro SD card.
    - Reset the camera using the reset button (if available) or by disconnecting and reconnecting power.
  • Poor video quality:
    - Clean the camera lens.
    - Ensure the protective film has been removed from the lens.
    - Check the video resolution settings in the camera menu.
  • G-Sensor too sensitive/not sensitive enough:
    - Adjust the G-Sensor sensitivity setting in the camera menu.
  • Parking Monitor not working:
    - Ensure the Parking Monitor feature is enabled in the settings.
    - Verify the camera is receiving continuous power when the car is off (may require a hardwire kit).
