3. Product Overview
Familiarize yourself with the radio's components and controls.
3.1. Controls and Features
- LCD Display: Shows time, frequency, battery level, and other indicators.
- ON/OFF Button: Powers the radio on or off.
- PRESET Button: Accesses and saves preset stations.
- Tuning Buttons (◀◀ / ▶▶): Adjusts frequency or navigates presets.
- Volume Knob: Controls audio output level (located on the side).
- AM/FM Switch: Selects between AM and FM bands (located on the side).
- Lock Switch: Prevents accidental button presses (located on the side).
- Telescopic Antenna: Extends for improved FM reception.

4. Setup
4.1. Battery Installation
The radio requires 3 AA batteries for primary power and 1 CR2032 button cell battery for memory backup (to save clock and preset settings).
- Locate the battery compartment cover on the back of the radio.
- Slide the cover open.
- Insert 3 AA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-) as indicated inside the compartment.
- Locate the CR2032 button cell holder. Insert one CR2032 battery with the positive (+) side facing up.
- Close the battery compartment cover securely.

4.2. Attaching the Carrying Strap
The included carrying strap can be attached to the designated loop on the side of the radio for easy portability.
5. Operating Instructions
5.1. Power On/Off
- Press the ON/OFF button to turn the radio on. The display will show the current time or last tuned frequency.
- Press the ON/OFF button again to turn the radio off. The display will show the clock.
5.2. Setting the Clock
When the radio is off, the display shows the clock. To set the time:
- With the radio off, press and hold the PRESET button until the hour digits flash.
- Use the ◀◀ or ▶▶ buttons to adjust the hour.
- Press the PRESET button again to switch to minute adjustment.
- Use the ◀◀ or ▶▶ buttons to adjust the minutes.
- Press the PRESET button one more time to confirm and exit time setting.
5.3. Tuning AM/FM Stations
- Slide the AM/FM switch on the side of the radio to select your desired band.
- Extend the telescopic antenna for optimal FM reception. For AM, the internal antenna is used.
- Press the ◀◀ or ▶▶ buttons briefly to fine-tune the frequency step by step.
- Press and hold the ◀◀ or ▶▶ buttons to automatically scan for the next available station.
5.4. Presetting Stations
The radio allows you to save up to 10 AM and 10 FM stations for quick access.
- Tune to the desired station you wish to save.
- Press and hold the PRESET button until the preset number flashes on the display.
- Use the ◀◀ or ▶▶ buttons to select the desired preset number (1-10).
- Press the PRESET button again briefly to confirm and save the station.
To recall a preset station, simply press the PRESET button repeatedly to cycle through your saved stations.

5.5. Sleep Timer Function
The sleep timer allows the radio to automatically turn off after a set period (10-90 minutes).
- With the radio on, press the PRESET button briefly. The display will show the current sleep timer setting (e.g., "SLP 10").
- Continue pressing the PRESET button to cycle through the available sleep timer durations (10, 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, 70, 80, 90 minutes, or OFF).
- Stop pressing when your desired duration is displayed. The setting will be automatically saved after a few seconds.

5.6. Using Headphones
For private listening, connect any standard 3.5mm stereo headphones (not included) to the headphone jack located on the side of the radio.

5.7. Lock Function
To prevent accidental button presses, slide the LOCK switch (located on the side of the radio) to the 'Lock' position. An indicator will appear on the display. To unlock, slide the switch back to the 'Unlock' position.

- Do not use abrasive cleaners, waxes, or solvents.
6.2. Battery Care
- Remove batteries if the radio will not be used for an extended period to prevent leakage.
