- External Controller (Optional): Connect the wired external control button to the 'Control' port on the front of the KVM switch.
Important Note:
- For dual monitor functionality, each computer must have both HDMI and DisplayPort outputs, and the corresponding HDMI, DP, and USB-C cables must be connected from each PC to the KVM switch.
- The USB-C input on the KVM switch is for USB data transmission only and does not support video transmission.
- Ensure all cables are securely connected to prevent signal loss or malfunction.
4. Operating Instructions
The VEDINDUST KVM Switch offers two methods for switching between connected computers.

Image 4: Illustration of the two switching methods: the 'Select' button on the KVM switch and the external desktop controller.
Switching Methods:
- Front Panel Button: Press the 'Select' button on the front panel of the KVM switch to toggle between PC1 and PC2. The LED indicators ('PC1' and 'PC2') will illuminate to show which computer is currently active.
- Wired External Controller: If connected, press the button on the wired external controller to switch between PC1 and PC2. This allows for convenient switching without needing to reach the KVM unit itself.
Note: Hotkey switching via keyboard is not supported by this device.
5. Display Modes
The KVM switch supports both extended and duplicate display modes, provided your computer's graphics card supports multiple monitors.

Image 5: Visual representation of the two display working modes: Extend (different content on each monitor) and Duplicate (same content on both monitors).
- Extended Mode: Each monitor displays different content, extending your desktop workspace. This mode requires your computer to support dual monitor extension.
- Duplicate (Mirror) Mode: Both monitors display the same content. This mode requires your computer to support dual monitor mirroring.
Important: To utilize extended or duplicate display modes, your computer's operating system and graphics hardware must support these multi-monitor configurations.

7. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues, please refer to the following common problems and solutions:
- No Display on Monitors:
- Ensure the KVM switch is powered on and the DC12V adapter is securely connected.
- Verify that all HDMI and DisplayPort cables are correctly connected from your PCs to the KVM switch and from the KVM switch to your monitors.
- Check if your monitors are set to the correct input source (HDMI or DisplayPort).
- Confirm that your computer's graphics card drivers are up to date.
- USB Peripherals Not Working:
- Ensure the USB 3.0 A to USB-C cables are properly connected from each PC to the 'USB C' input ports on the KVM switch. This connection is essential for USB peripheral functionality.
- Try connecting the USB peripheral directly to the computer to confirm it is functional.
- Restart the KVM switch and the connected computers.
- Dual Monitor Functionality Not Working:
- Verify that each connected computer has both HDMI and DisplayPort outputs and that both are connected to the KVM switch.
- Confirm that your computer's operating system and graphics card settings are configured to support dual monitors (extended or duplicate mode).
- Ensure you are using high-quality DP 1.4 and HDMI 2.1 cables, especially for 4K@120Hz or 8K@60Hz resolutions.
- Intermittent Signal Loss:
- Check all cable connections for looseness.
- Ensure the power adapter is providing stable power.
- Reduce cable lengths if possible, especially for high-resolution signals.
