INIA HAUTE Pro IPL Hair Remover User Manual

Model: HAUTE Pro

1. Product Overview

The INIA HAUTE Pro IPL Hair Remover is an advanced at-home device designed for effective and comfortable hair reduction. Utilizing Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) technology combined with ice-cooling care, it aims to provide a painless experience for various body areas, including the face, body, and bikini line.

This manual provides essential information on how to safely and effectively use your INIA HAUTE Pro device to achieve optimal results.

2. Important Safety Information

WARNING: Read all safety warnings and instructions before using this device.

  • Do not use this device on red, blond, grey, or white hair, as these hair colors may not absorb the light energy effectively, leading to reduced results.
  • Avoid using the device on dark brown and black skin tones. IPL systems may cause pain or burns on darker skin due to higher melanin absorption of light energy.
  • Do not hold the epilator in the same area for an extended period to prevent skin irritation or burns.
  • Always wear the provided protective eyewear during treatment to shield your eyes from the intense pulsed light.
  • Perform a patch test on a small skin area 24 hours before full treatment to check for any adverse reactions.
  • Keep the device away from water and do not use it in wet environments.
  • Consult a physician before use if you have any underlying skin conditions, medical implants, or are pregnant/breastfeeding.

2.1 Skin Tone and Hair Color Suitability

The effectiveness and safety of IPL treatment depend on your skin tone and hair color. IPL targets melanin in the hair follicle. Refer to the chart below to determine if this device is suitable for you.

IPL suitability chart showing applicable skin tones and hair colors, and those that are not applicable or require caution.

Image: IPL suitability chart. This chart illustrates which skin tones are applicable, require caution, or are not applicable for IPL treatment, and which hair colors are safe/effective or ineffective.

Lighter Hair Colors: IPL may be less effective on hair with low melanin, such as blonde, red, or gray.

Darker Skin Tones: Higher melanin levels in the skin can absorb more energy, posing potential safety concerns. Always check the device's skin and hair compatibility chart to ensure IPL is right for you.

4. Setup Guide

Before your first treatment, ensure you follow these steps for proper setup and safety.

  1. Prepare the Skin: Shave the area you intend to treat. Do not wax, pluck, or use depilatory creams, as IPL requires the hair follicle to be present beneath the skin surface for effective treatment. Clean and dry the skin thoroughly.
  2. Wear Protective Eyewear: Always put on the provided safety goggles before turning on the device to protect your eyes from the intense light.
  3. Connect Power: Plug the device into a power outlet. The INIA HAUTE Pro operates only when plugged in.
  4. Power On: Press and hold the power button to turn on the device.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Selecting Intensity Level

The device has multiple intensity levels. Start with the lowest intensity level and gradually increase it as your skin tolerates it. Higher intensity levels generally yield more effective results but require careful monitoring of skin reaction.

5.2 Choosing a Mode (Face, Body, Bikini)

The INIA HAUTE Pro offers specialized modes for different body areas:

  • FACE Mode: For delicate facial hair.
  • BODY Mode: For general body hair on arms, legs, etc.
  • BIKINI Mode: Specifically designed for coarse hair in the bikini area.

Select the appropriate mode by pressing the mode button on the device. The selected mode will be indicated by an icon on the display.

  3. Move the device to the next adjacent area, ensuring slight overlap to cover all desired areas.
