2. Setup
2.1. Battery Installation and Charging
The impact wrench operates on 21V Lithium-ion batteries. Ensure batteries are fully charged before first use.
- Charging: Connect the charger to a power outlet and insert the battery. The indicator light on the charger will show the charging status. A full charge typically takes several hours.
- Installation: Align the battery with the base of the impact wrench and slide it in until it clicks securely into place.
- Removal: Press the battery release button (see Figure 1) and slide the battery out.

2.2. Attaching Sockets
The impact wrench uses a 1/2-inch square chuck. To attach a socket:
- Select the appropriate impact socket for your task (e.g., 17mm, 19mm, 21mm, 22mm, 24mm).
- Push the socket firmly onto the square chuck until it locks into place.
- To remove, pull the socket off the chuck.
3. Operation
3.1. Forward and Reverse Switch
The forward/reverse switch controls the direction of rotation and also acts as a lock when centered.
- Forward (Tighten): Push the switch to the right for clockwise rotation.
- Reverse (Loosen): Push the switch to the left for counter-clockwise rotation.
- Lock: Center the switch to prevent accidental activation. The tool will not operate when the switch is in the center position.

Figure 3: Detailed view of the forward and reverse switch mechanism. Pushing right engages forward rotation (tighten), pushing left engages reverse rotation (loosen), and centering the button locks the tool.
3.2. Variable Speed Control and Torque Adjustment
The tool features stepless speed control and three torque settings to match various applications.
- Stepless Speed Control: The speed of the tool is controlled by the pressure applied to the trigger. Pressing the trigger harder increases the RPM.
- Torque Settings: Three torque options are available: 700 Nm, 950 Nm, and 1200 Nm. These settings can be selected via a control at the bottom of the wrench (refer to Figure 3 for visual indication of torque adjustment on the smart control panel).
- Low (L): 0-1520 RPM, suitable for home improvement tasks.
- Medium (M): 0-1990 RPM, ideal for tire disassembly.
- High (H): 0-2370 RPM, for engineering industrial use requiring maximum power.

Figure 4: Demonstrates the stepless speed control and the three operational modes (L, M, H) with their respective RPM ranges and suggested applications.
3.3. LED Light
The integrated LED light automatically illuminates when the trigger is pressed, providing visibility in dimly lit work areas.

Figure 5: The bright LED light automatically activates when the tool is in use, enhancing safety and visibility in dark environments.
4. Maintenance
4.1. General Cleaning
Regular cleaning helps maintain the tool's performance and extends its lifespan.
- After each use, wipe down the tool with a clean, damp cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
- Keep ventilation openings clear of dust and debris to prevent overheating.
- Inspect the square chuck for wear and tear.
4.2. Battery Care and Storage
Proper battery care ensures optimal performance and longevity.
- Store batteries in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
- Do not store fully discharged batteries for extended periods. Charge them periodically if not in use.
- Avoid exposing batteries to moisture or impact.
5. Troubleshooting
This section addresses common issues you might encounter with your Gisam Cordless Impact Wrench.
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Tool does not start | Battery not installed correctly or discharged. Forward/reverse switch is in the locked (center) position. | Ensure battery is fully charged and properly seated. Move the forward/reverse switch to the left or right operating position. |
| Reduced power or torque | Battery charge is low. Incorrect torque setting selected. | Recharge the battery. Select a higher torque setting appropriate for the task. |
| Tool overheats | Prolonged heavy use. Blocked ventilation openings. | Allow the tool to cool down. Clear any debris from the ventilation slots. |
