Setup and Connection
The YUNZII B98 keyboard offers three connection modes: wired, 2.4GHz wireless, and Bluetooth. Follow the instructions below to set up your preferred connection.
1. Wired Connection
- Locate the USB-C port on the keyboard.
- Connect the provided USB-C cable to the keyboard and the other end to an available USB port on your computer.
- The keyboard will automatically be recognized by your system and is ready for use.
2. 2.4GHz Wireless Connection
- Locate the mode switch on the side of the keyboard. Switch it to the "2.4G" position.
- Remove the 2.4G USB dongle from its storage slot on the keyboard's underside.
- Plug the 2.4G USB dongle into an available USB port on your computer.
- The keyboard should connect automatically. If not, short press FN + 4. The LOG LED will flash slowly. Long press FN + 4 until the LOG LED flashes fast to enter pairing mode. Once connected, the RGB will stay on.

3. Bluetooth Connection
The keyboard supports up to 3 Bluetooth devices.
- Locate the mode switch on the side of the keyboard. Switch it to the "BT" position.
- Short press FN + 1, FN + 2, or FN + 3 to select a Bluetooth channel. The LOG LED will flash slowly.
- Long press the selected FN + (1/2/3) combination for 3-5 seconds until the LOG LED flashes fast. This indicates the keyboard is in pairing mode.
- On your device (PC, laptop, tablet, smartphone), search for Bluetooth devices and select "YUNZII B98 5.0" or "YUNZII B98 3.0" to connect.
- Once connected, the RGB will stay on. To switch between paired Bluetooth devices, short press FN + 1/2/3.

Hot-Swapping Switches
The YUNZII B98 is hot-swappable, allowing you to change mechanical switches without soldering. It supports both 3-pin and 5-pin MX style switches.
- Using the provided keycap puller, carefully remove the keycap from the switch you wish to replace.
- Using the provided switch puller, gently grip the switch and pull it straight up to remove it from the PCB.
- Align the pins of the new switch with the holes on the PCB. Ensure the pins are straight to avoid bending.
- Press the new switch firmly into place until it clicks.
- Replace the keycap.
