1. Product Overview

The OMBAR M573 is a versatile 3-channel dash camera system designed to provide comprehensive surveillance for your vehicle. It simultaneously records front, rear, and interior views in high resolution, offering crucial evidence for various driving situations. Key features include 5G WiFi, built-in GPS, infrared night vision, G-sensor, and multiple parking modes.

3. Setup and Installation

3.1 Micro SD Card Installation

The 64GB TF card is typically pre-inserted. Before first use, it is crucial to format the SD card within the dash cam's settings to ensure proper functionality and compatibility. The dash cam supports up to 256GB SD cards.

3.2 Mounting the Dash Cam

The OMBAR M573 features a magnetic bracket and detachable design for easy installation and removal. Choose a location on your windshield that does not obstruct your view.

• Clean the windshield surface thoroughly.
• Attach the adhesive mount to the windshield.
• Connect the dash cam to the magnetic bracket.
• Adjust the camera angle using the 135° rotatable bracket for optimal front view recording.

3.3 Connecting the Rear and Cabin Cameras

The rear camera and cabin camera support 360° rotation for flexible viewing angles. Connect them to the main dash cam unit. Ensure the dash cam's power is disconnected before plugging or unplugging any cameras.

3.4 Power Connection

Connect the Type-C cigarette lighter power cable to the dash cam and your vehicle's cigarette lighter socket. The dash cam will automatically power on and begin recording when the vehicle starts.

4. Operation

4.1 Button Functions

The dash cam features several buttons for control. Note that button control is disabled when connected to the mobile app and resumes when WiFi is disconnected.

1. Power Button: Press once to turn ON/OFF screen. Press and hold while camera is ON to turn OFF the camera.
2. Mode/Audio Button: Press once while recording to shift camera display mode. Press and hold to turn ON/OFF audio recording.
3. OK Button: Press once to start/stop video recording. Press once to play/pause video while in playback mode.
4. Photo/WiFi Button: Press once to take a photo. Press and hold to turn ON/OFF WiFi.
5. Menu/Lock Button: Press once while recording to manually lock the video. Press once while unrecording to enter/quit menu setting. Press and hold while unrecording to enter/quit playback setting.
6. Reset Button: Poke dash cam's R button 1 time with a pin to reset.

4.2 Mobile App Control (OMBAR App)

The OMBAR Dash Cam features built-in Dual-Band WiFi (2.4GHz & 5.0GHz) for faster transfer speeds. The 'OMBAR' app allows you to control the dash cam, view, download, and share videos directly from your smartphone (iPhone & Android).

• App Download: The original 'OnCam' app is no longer available. Please scan the QR code below or search for 'OMBAR' or 'KACAM' on Google Play or the App Store to download the new app.
• Connectivity: The effective WiFi signal range is approximately 25ft. It does not support remote live viewing from home.
• Automatic Recording: The dash cam will record automatically when plugged into power (must always be plugged into the cigarette lighter).

4.3 GPS Tracking

The built-in GPS module records your driving route and speed data. This data can be viewed using a dedicated GPS player (available for Windows and macOS, please contact customer support for download link). Note that the dash cam cannot be used as a GPS navigation device.

4.4 Loop Recording

The dash cam continuously records in 1, 2, or 3-minute segments. When the SD card is full, the oldest unlocked video files will be automatically overwritten to make space for new recordings.

4.5 G-Sensor & Emergency Recording

The built-in G-sensor automatically detects sudden shakes or collisions. When triggered, the current video segment is locked and saved to a protected folder, preventing it from being overwritten by loop recording. This applies to both driving and parking incidents.

You can also manually lock a video segment by pressing the 'M' button once during recording. This will protect the current video from being deleted by the loop cycle function.

4.6 Parking Modes (24-Hour Protection)

For 24/7 parking monitoring, the dash cam offers two modes. These modes require the optional 3-Lead Hardwire Kit (not included, ASIN: B0DK1QW7ZM) for continuous power supply.

• Time-Lapse 1fps Parking Mode: The camera records continuously at one frame per second, maximizing recording quantity over extended periods.
• Collision Detection Parking Mode: The camera automatically initiates a 1-minute recording when the G-sensor detects a collision.

4.7 Screen Saver

You can configure the screen display behavior to suit your preference:

• Screen Always On: The display remains active.
• Screen Saver On After 1 Min: The screen will turn off after 1 minute of inactivity.
• Screen Off After 1 Min: The screen will turn off completely after 1 minute.

Note: The screen saver function is disabled when connected to the mobile app and will return to normal after disconnecting the app.

4.8 Fatigue Driving Reminder

The dash cam can be set to provide a fatigue driving reminder, notifying you after 2, 3, or 4 hours of continuous driving to take a rest for safety.

5. Advanced Features

5.1 Recording Resolutions

The OMBAR M573 offers flexible recording resolutions:

• 3-Channel Recording: Front 2K QHD (2560*1440P) + Inside 1080P + Rear 1080P.
• Dual Channel Recording:
  • Front 4K (3840*2160P) + Rear 1080P
  • Front 4K (3840*2160P) + Inside 1080P
• Front Single Recording: 4K (3840*2160P) (default), 2K (2560*1440P), or 1080P (1920*1080P).

5.2 Night Vision and Image Enhancement

The dash cam is equipped with advanced features for clear recording in various lighting conditions:

• f/1.8 Aperture: Pulls in more light to brighten up dark scenes.
• 6-Glass Lens: Helps capture more lifelike images.
• WDR Technology & 6 Hidden IR Lights: For the cabin camera, automatically adjusts exposure and provides infrared illumination for clear video in low light or darkness. Note: If the light source is too weak, the cabin camera's video may appear in black and white.
• Galaxycore Sensor: Ensures low power consumption and minimal heat generation.

6. Maintenance

6.1 SD Card Management

• Formatting: Always format the SD card before first-time use and periodically (e.g., every 15 or 30 days, configurable in settings) to maintain optimal performance and prevent data corruption.
• Capacity: The included 64GB card provides ample recording time. The dash cam supports up to 256GB cards.
• Recommended Cards: Only use high-endurance Micro SD cards from reputable brands.

6.2 Cleaning

• Gently wipe the camera lenses with a soft, lint-free cloth to ensure clear recordings.
• Clean the dash cam body with a dry or slightly damp cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.

6.3 Super Capacitor

The OMBAR M573 uses a built-in super capacitor instead of a traditional lithium battery. This provides superior heat resistance and a longer service life, allowing the dash cam to withstand extreme temperatures from -4°F (-20°C) to 158°F (70°C) without risk of overheating or explosion. It is normal for the dash cam to run slightly warm (30°C to 50°C) during operation.

7. Troubleshooting

7.1 Common Issues and Solutions

• Dash Cam Not Powering On:
  • Ensure the power cable is securely connected to both the dash cam and the vehicle's cigarette lighter.
  • Check the vehicle's cigarette lighter fuse.
• SD Card Errors / Recording Issues:
  • Format the SD card within the dash cam's settings.
  • Ensure the SD card is a high-endurance type and not counterfeit.
  • Try a different compatible SD card (up to 256GB).
• App Connectivity Issues (WiFi):
  • Ensure the dash cam's WiFi is enabled.
  • Make sure you are within the effective WiFi signal range (approx. 25ft).
  • Disconnect and reconnect the WiFi on your phone.
  • Restart both the dash cam and your phone.
  • Ensure you have downloaded the correct and updated 'OMBAR' or 'KACAM' app.
• Dash Cam Running Warm:
  • It is normal for the dash cam to run slightly hot (30°C to 50°C) due to the super capacitor design. This does not indicate a malfunction.
• Video Playback is Choppy or Frozen:
  • Ensure you are using a high-speed (Class 10 or U3 recommended) SD card.
  • Format the SD card.
• GPS Not Recording Data:
  • Ensure the dash cam has a clear view of the sky.
  • Verify GPS is enabled in the settings.
