4. Setup

4.1 Attaching/Removing the Battery

1. Ensure the hedge trimmer is turned off and the blade guard is in place.
2. Align the battery pack with the battery port on the rear of the trimmer.
3. Slide the battery pack into the port until it clicks securely into place.
4. To remove, press the battery release button (if present) and slide the battery pack out.

4.2 Attaching/Removing the Blade Guard

The blade guard protects the blades during storage and transport. Always ensure it is securely in place when the tool is not in use.

1. To attach, slide the blade guard over the trimmer blades until it covers the entire cutting edge.
2. To remove, gently pull the blade guard off the blades.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Starting and Stopping the Trimmer

To start the trimmer, you must simultaneously press the safety switch on the front handle and the trigger on the rear handle. Release either switch to stop the trimmer.

• Horizontal Trimming: Hold the trimmer with both hands, keeping the blade parallel to the ground. Move steadily along the top of the hedge.
• Vertical Trimming: Use the rotating rear handle to adjust the grip for comfortable vertical cuts. Move the trimmer in an arc motion from bottom to top.
• Avoid Overloading: Do not force the trimmer through thick branches. If the blades bind, release the triggers immediately and clear the obstruction.
