3. Setup Instructions
3.1 Battery Charging
- Connect the battery charger to a standard power outlet.
- Insert the battery into the charger. Ensure it clicks into place.
- The indicator light on the charger will show the charging status (e.g., red for charging, green for fully charged).
- Allow the battery to fully charge before first use. Charging time may vary.
- For optimal battery life, avoid storing the battery in a completely discharged state.
3.2 Chain and Guide Bar Installation
Always ensure the battery is removed before installing or adjusting the chain and guide bar.
- Using the provided wrench, loosen the guide bar retaining nut and remove the side cover.
- Place the saw chain around the sprocket and guide bar. Ensure the cutting edges of the chain teeth are facing the correct direction (refer to the arrow on the guide bar or chainsaw body).
- Fit the guide bar onto the mounting studs, ensuring the chain is properly seated in the guide bar groove and around the drive sprocket.
- Replace the side cover and hand-tighten the retaining nut. Do not fully tighten yet.
- Adjust the chain tension using the tensioning screw. The chain should be snug against the guide bar but still able to be pulled freely by hand. There should be no more than 2-3mm of slack when pulled from the center of the guide bar.
- Once the tension is correct, fully tighten the guide bar retaining nut.

3.3 Chain Lubrication
The Saker Mini Chainsaw requires manual chain lubrication. Before each use, apply a small amount of appropriate chain oil (not included) to the guide bar groove and chain to ensure smooth operation and reduce wear. Regularly check and reapply oil during extended use.
4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Pre-Operation Checks
- Ensure the battery is fully charged and securely installed.
- Verify the chain tension is correct.
- Confirm the chain is properly lubricated.
- Inspect the chainsaw for any damage or loose parts. Do not operate if damaged.
- Clear the work area of any obstacles, bystanders, or pets.
4.2 Starting and Stopping the Chainsaw
- To Start: Hold the chainsaw firmly with both hands. Press and hold the safety lock button, then squeeze the trigger switch. The chain will begin to move.
- To Stop: Release the trigger switch. The chain will stop rotating.
4.3 Cutting Techniques
- Always hold the chainsaw with both hands for maximum control.
- Position yourself securely with stable footing.
- Allow the chainsaw to reach full speed before engaging the chain with the material to be cut.
- Apply light, consistent pressure. Do not force the chainsaw through the cut.
- The Saker Mini Chainsaw is designed for cutting branches and small logs up to 6 inches in diameter. Do not attempt to cut larger materials.
- Be aware of kickback. Avoid cutting with the tip of the guide bar.

5. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and safe operation of your Saker Mini Chainsaw. Always remove the battery before performing any maintenance.
5.1 Cleaning
- After each use, clean the chainsaw body with a damp cloth.
- Remove sawdust, chips, and debris from the guide bar, chain, and motor vents. A brush or compressed air can be used.
- Ensure the chain and guide bar are free of resin buildup.
5.2 Chain and Guide Bar Care
- Chain Sharpening: A dull chain will reduce cutting efficiency and increase strain on the motor. Sharpen the chain regularly or replace it when necessary. Refer to a professional or specific chain sharpening instructions.
- Chain Tension: Periodically check and adjust chain tension. A loose chain can derail, and an overly tight chain can cause premature wear.
- Guide Bar: Clean the guide bar groove to ensure proper chain movement. Flip the guide bar periodically to ensure even wear.
5.3 Battery Storage
- Store batteries in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
- For long-term storage, charge the battery to approximately 50-70% capacity.
- Do not store batteries in a completely discharged state.
