4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Basic Operation
Once power is supplied to the track, use your power pack's throttle to control the train's speed and direction. Increase the throttle gradually for smooth acceleration and decrease it slowly for deceleration.
4.2 Lighting Features
The E235 Series features operational head/tail lights and a front display with a power indicator light (white LED). The headlight reproduces a white look when the light is off. These lights will illuminate automatically when power is supplied to the track and the train is in motion or stationary with power.
4.3 DCC Compatibility
This model is DCC friendly. For Digital Command Control (DCC) operation, a DCC decoder must be installed (sold separately). Refer to the DCC decoder's instructions for installation and programming.
5. Maintenance
5.1 Cleaning
Regularly perform light dusting on the train cars to prevent dust buildup. Use a soft, dry cloth or a soft brush. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
5.2 Track and Wheel Cleaning
Ensure tracks are clean and free of debris for optimal electrical conductivity and smooth operation. Periodically clean the train's wheels to remove any accumulated grime, which can affect performance.
6. Troubleshooting
- Train Not Moving:
Check power supply connections to the track and power pack. Ensure tracks are clean and all train wheels are properly seated. Verify the power pack is turned on and the throttle is advanced. - Lights Not Working:
Confirm the train is receiving power. Check for any visible damage to the LED components. - Derailment:
Inspect track connections for proper alignment. Ensure all wheels are correctly on the rails. Reduce train speed, especially on curves. - Irregular Operation:
Clean tracks and train wheels. Ensure couplers are securely connected between cars.
