9. Understanding TENS Therapy

Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation (TENS) is a non-invasive method of pain relief. It works by delivering low-voltage electrical currents through electrodes placed on the skin near the painful area. The electrical impulses can:

  • Block Pain Signals: Interfere with the transmission of pain signals from the affected area to the brain.
  • Stimulate Endorphin Production: Encourage the body to produce natural pain-relieving chemicals called endorphins.

The Comfytemp TENS unit utilizes intelligent algorithms to select appropriate pulse width (100-300µs) and pulse frequency (3-110Hz) for effective therapy, offering various waveforms to suit individual needs.

10. Maintenance

Proper maintenance ensures the longevity and effectiveness of your Comfytemp TENS Stimulator.

  • Clean Electrodes: After each use, gently wipe the adhesive side of the electrode pads with a damp cloth to remove any residue. Allow them to air dry completely before reattaching the protective film.
  • Store Properly: Store the TENS units and electrode pads in the provided storage bag in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
  • Replace Pads: Electrode pads have a limited lifespan. Replace them when they lose their adhesiveness or if you notice reduced conductivity.
  • Clean Units: Wipe the TENS units with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or immerse the units in water.

11. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your device, refer to the following common problems and solutions:

ProblemPossible CauseSolution
