1. Introduction

2. Safety Information

4. Setup

4.1 Installing Memory (RAM)

  1. Unscrew the bottom cover of the NUC unit and carefully remove it.
  2. Locate the two SO-DIMM slots on the motherboard.
  3. Align the notch on the DDR4 SO-DIMM module with the notch in the slot.
  4. Insert the module at a 45-degree angle and push down until the retaining clips snap into place.
  5. Repeat for the second module if installing dual channel memory.

4.2 Installing Storage (M.2 SSD)

  1. Locate the M.2 slot on the motherboard.
  2. Insert the M.2 SSD into the slot at a slight angle.
  3. Gently push down the SSD and secure it with the provided screw.

4.3 Connecting Peripherals

  • Display: Connect your monitor to the HDMI or Thunderbolt 4 (USB-C) port using an appropriate cable.
  • Keyboard/Mouse: Connect your USB keyboard and mouse to the available USB 3.2 Gen 2 ports.
  • Network: For a wired connection, connect an Ethernet cable to the Gigabit Ethernet port.
  • Power: Connect the power adapter to the DC-in port on the NUC and then plug it into a power outlet.

4.4 Operating System Installation

Since this is a barebone unit, an operating system (e.g., Windows 11, Linux) must be installed. Prepare a bootable USB drive with your preferred OS installer and follow the on-screen instructions during boot-up to install the operating system on your M.2 SSD.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Powering On/Off

  • Power On: Press the power button located on the front of the unit.
  • Power Off: From your operating system, select "Shut Down" or "Power Off". Alternatively, press and hold the power button for 4 seconds to force a shutdown (use only when necessary).

5.2 Wireless Connectivity

  • Wi-Fi 6E: Once the operating system is installed, navigate to network settings to connect to your wireless network.
  • Bluetooth 5.3: Enable Bluetooth in your operating system settings to pair with compatible devices such as keyboards, mice, or audio devices.

6. Maintenance

6.1 Cleaning

  • Ensure the device is powered off and unplugged before cleaning.
  • Use a soft, lint-free cloth to wipe the exterior. For stubborn marks, slightly dampen the cloth with water.

7. Troubleshooting
