Setup Guide

1. TV Physical Setup

  1. Unpacking: Carefully remove the TV and all components from the packaging. It is recommended to have two people for this step.
  2. Attaching the Stand:
    • Place the TV face down on a soft, clean surface to prevent screen damage.
    • Align the TV stand pieces with the corresponding slots on the bottom of the TV.
    • Secure the stands using the provided screws.

Alternatively, if wall-mounting, refer to your wall mount's instructions. The TV supports VESA mounting standards.

  3. Connecting Devices:
    • Power: Connect the TV's power cord to the AC IN port on the TV, then plug it into a wall outlet.
    • HDMI Devices: Connect external devices (e.g., cable box, gaming console) to the HDMI ports. The TV supports 4K resolution via HDMI.
    • USB Devices: Connect USB drives for media playback to the USB ports (2 total).
    • Antenna/Cable: Connect an antenna or cable TV signal to the ANT/CABLE IN port.
    • Ethernet: For a stable internet connection, connect an Ethernet cable to the LAN port.

2. Initial Power On & Google TV Setup

  1. Plug in the TV's power cord.
  2. Press the Power button on the remote control or on the TV itself.
  3. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the initial setup:
    • Select your language.
    • Connect to your Wi-Fi network or use the Ethernet connection.
    • Sign in with your Google account to access Google TV features, apps, and personalized recommendations.
    • Scan for channels (if using an antenna/cable).
    • Accept terms and conditions.

3. Soundbar (HS2100) Setup

  1. Placement: Place the soundbar directly in front of your TV, centered. The wireless subwoofer can be placed anywhere in the room, ideally within 10 meters (33 feet) of the soundbar.
  2. Power Connection:
    • Connect the soundbar's power cord to an AC outlet.
    • Connect the subwoofer's power cord to an AC outlet.
  3. Connecting to TV:
    • HDMI ARC (Recommended): Connect an HDMI cable from the soundbar's HDMI OUT (ARC) port to your TV's HDMI (ARC) port. This allows audio to be sent from the TV to the soundbar and enables control with a single remote (EzPlay).
    • Optical: If your TV does not have an HDMI ARC port, connect an optical cable from the soundbar's OPTICAL IN port to your TV's optical digital audio out port.
    • Bluetooth: For wireless audio from mobile devices, enable Bluetooth on your device and pair with "Hisense HS2100".
  4. Subwoofer Pairing: The wireless subwoofer should automatically pair with the soundbar upon power-up. If not, refer to the soundbar's specific manual for manual pairing instructions.

Operating Your Hisense Entertainment System

1. Remote Control Overview

The included remote control operates both the TV and, via EzPlay (HDMI ARC), the soundbar. Key functions include:

  • Power: Turns the TV and soundbar on/off.
  • Input: Selects input sources (HDMI, TV, USB).

2. Google TV Navigation

Google TV organizes your favorite movies, shows, and live TV from all your subscriptions in one place. Use the navigation pad on your remote to browse:

  • For You: Personalized recommendations based on your viewing habits.
  • Live: Access live TV channels (if configured).
  • Apps: Browse and launch installed applications.
  • Library: Access your purchased or rented content.
  • Settings: Configure TV and system settings.

Use the Google Assistant button for voice commands, such as "Find action movies" or "Open Netflix."

3. Picture Quality Features

  • 4K AI Upscaler: This technology enhances non-4K content to near-4K quality by analyzing and restoring lost details and reducing noise. It operates automatically.
  • Precision Colour: Ensures accurate and natural color reproduction, enhancing the vibrancy of scenes and maintaining lifelike skin tones.
  • Dolby Vision: For compatible content, Dolby Vision provides superior brightness, contrast, and color, delivering a more immersive visual experience. Ensure your content source supports Dolby Vision.
  • Game Mode PLUS: Reduces input lag and optimizes picture settings for gaming. This mode includes 60Hz VRR (Variable Refresh Rate) and ALLM (Auto Low Latency Mode) for smoother gameplay. The TV automatically detects when a game console is connected and switches to Game Mode.

4. Audio Features (HS2100 Soundbar)

  • 2.1 Channel System: The soundbar features two front-firing speakers and a wireless subwoofer for enhanced bass, delivering a total of 240W max audio power.
  • DTS: Virtual X: This technology creates an immersive, room-filling virtual surround sound experience from the 2.1 channel setup.
  • EzPlay: When connected via HDMI ARC, EzPlay allows you to control the soundbar's basic settings (like volume) directly from your TV remote, simplifying your entertainment setup.
  • Bluetooth Connectivity: Stream audio wirelessly from your smartphone, tablet, or other Bluetooth-enabled devices directly to the soundbar.

Maintenance and Care

  • Cleaning the Screen: Gently wipe the screen with a soft, lint-free cloth. For stubborn marks, dampen the cloth slightly with water or a specialized screen cleaner. Never spray cleaner directly onto the screen.
  • Cleaning the Cabinet/Soundbar: Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the surfaces. Avoid using abrasive cleaners, waxes, or solvents.
  • Ventilation: Ensure that the ventilation openings on the TV and soundbar are not blocked. Dust accumulation can be removed with a soft brush or vacuum cleaner.
  • Power Cord: Regularly check the power cords for any signs of damage. If damaged, discontinue use and contact Hisense support.
