4. Compatibility Check
Before installation, ensure your TV and wall meet the following criteria:
- TV Weight: Your TV must weigh no more than 33 lbs (15 kg).
- TV Size: Your TV screen size should be between 13 and 32 inches.
- VESA Pattern: Measure the horizontal and vertical distance between the mounting holes on the back of your TV. This mount supports VESA patterns of 50x50mm, 75x75mm, and 100x100mm. Note: Fits only TVs with VESA ≤100x100mm.
- Wall Type: The mount must be installed on a solid wood stud, concrete wall, or brick wall. Do not install on drywall alone.
- Cable Interface: Ensure the mount does not block any cable connectors on the back of your TV.

5. Installation Instructions
Follow these steps carefully for a secure installation. It is recommended to have two people for certain steps.
5.1 Tools Required (Not Included)
- Pencil
- Drill
- Stud Finder (for wood stud installation)
- Socket Wrench
- Phillips Head Screwdriver
- Measuring Tape
5.2 Wall Type Considerations

Image: Visual representation of concrete wall, wood stud, and brick wall, indicating suitability for mounting. A warning states not to mount on drywall alone.
- Wood Stud: Locate the center of the wood stud using a stud finder. Drill pilot holes into the center of the stud.
- Concrete/Brick Wall: Use a masonry drill bit to drill pilot holes. For concrete walls, specific concrete anchors are required. Please contact USX MOUNT customer service to obtain these if not included.
- DO NOT mount on drywall alone.
5.3 Step-by-Step Installation

Image: Three-step visual guide for installation: 1. Attach mounting plate to TV, 2. Attach mount bracket to wall, 3. Hang TV to bracket.
- Attach TV Brackets to TV:
Carefully place your TV face down on a soft, clean surface. Attach the TV VESA plate to the back of your TV using the appropriate screws, washers, and spacers from the provided hardware kit. Ensure the screws are tightened securely but do not overtighten.
- Mount Wall Plate to Wall:
Determine the desired height for your TV. Mark the drilling locations for the wall plate. For wood stud installation, drill pilot holes. For concrete/brick, drill pilot holes and insert appropriate anchors (if applicable). Secure the wall plate assembly to the wall using the provided lag bolts. Use the bubble level to ensure the wall plate is perfectly horizontal before fully tightening.
- Hang TV onto Wall Plate:
With assistance, carefully lift the TV (with the attached VESA plate) and hook it onto the wall plate assembly. Ensure the TV is securely seated. Tighten any safety screws or locking mechanisms to prevent accidental dislodgement.
6. Operating Instructions (Adjustments)
Once installed, you can adjust your TV for optimal viewing.
6.1 Tilt Adjustment

Image: Illustration demonstrating the tilt function of the TV mount, showing adjustment from +5° to -15°.
The mount allows for a tilt range of +5° (upward) to -15° (downward). Loosen the tilt adjustment knobs on the VESA plate, adjust the TV to your desired angle to reduce glare, and then securely tighten the knobs.
6.2 Swivel Adjustment

Image: Demonstrates the swivel capability of the mount up to 180° and 360° rotation at the VESA plate.
The articulating arm allows you to swivel your TV up to 90° left or right, depending on your TV's size and distance from the wall. Gently push or pull the TV to achieve the desired viewing angle.
6.3 Extension and Retraction

Image: Shows the mount extending up to 14.49 inches and retracting to 2.6 inches from the wall.
The mount can extend your TV up to 14.49 inches (36.8 cm) from the wall for flexible viewing and retracts to a low profile of 2.6 inches (6.6 cm) when not in use. Gently pull or push the TV to extend or retract the arm.
6.4 Post-Installation Level Adjustment
If your TV is slightly unlevel after installation, you can make a +/- 4° adjustment. Consult the specific mechanism on your VESA plate for this fine-tuning. Typically, this involves loosening a screw, adjusting, and then re-tightening.
7. Maintenance
- Regular Checks: Periodically check all screws and connections to ensure they remain tight and secure.
- Cleaning: Clean the mount with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Lubrication: The articulating joints are designed for smooth movement. If movement becomes stiff over time, a small amount of silicone-based lubricant can be applied to the pivot points.
8. Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| TV is not level. | Wall plate not perfectly level, or post-installation adjustment needed. | Use the +/- 4° post-installation level adjustment feature. If significant, re-check wall plate installation. |
| Mount feels unstable or wobbly. | Screws not fully tightened, incorrect wall type, or exceeding weight capacity. | Ensure all wall and TV screws are securely tightened. Verify TV weight and wall type compatibility. If mounted on drywall, re-install on a suitable wall type. |
| Difficulty moving the articulating arm. | Joints are stiff, or TV weight is near maximum capacity. | Apply a small amount of silicone-based lubricant to the pivot points. Ensure TV weight is within limits. |
| TV mounting screws do not fit. | Incorrect screw size or VESA pattern mismatch. | Refer to your TV manual for correct screw size. Verify your TV's VESA pattern is 50x50mm, 75x75mm, or 100x100mm. |
