4. Setup

4.1 Physical Installation

  1. Choose a Location: Select a suitable location for your camera, considering the desired viewing angle and proximity to network and power sources. The camera is IP65 rated for outdoor use.
  2. Mounting: Use the included screw set to securely mount the camera to a wall or ceiling. Ensure the mounting surface is stable enough to support the camera's weight.
  3. Adjust Angle: Loosen the adjustable brackets to position the camera for optimal coverage, then tighten to secure.

4.2 Power and Network Connection

The camera supports two power options: Power over Ethernet (POE) or a 12V DC power adapter (not included).

  • POE Connection: Connect an Ethernet cable from a POE-enabled switch or NVR to the camera's RJ45 port. This single cable will provide both power and network connectivity. Use the waterproof cap for outdoor installations to protect the RJ45 connection.
  • DC Power Connection: If POE is not available, connect a 12V 2A DC power adapter (sold separately) to the camera's DC power port, and then connect an Ethernet cable from your router/switch to the RJ45 port for network access.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Initial Access and Software Setup

  1. Download Mobile App: For mobile access, download the "Linklemo" app from the iOS App Store or Google Play Store.
  2. Install VMS Software: For PC access, install the VMS software on your Windows computer. (Note: MAC OS and Linux are not supported).
  3. Add Camera: Follow the in-app or software instructions to add your camera to the system. This typically involves scanning a QR code or manually entering the camera's ID.

5.2 Live View and Playback

Once the camera is added, you can access the live video feed and review recorded footage through the Linklemo app or VMS software.

5.3 Motion Detection

The camera features motion detection to alert you to activity. You can configure motion detection settings within the Linklemo app or VMS software.

  • Enable Motion Detection: Navigate to the camera settings and enable motion detection.
  • Adjust Sensitivity: Customize the sensitivity level to reduce false alarms.
  • Set Alert Notifications: Configure the system to send push notifications to your mobile device when motion is detected.

5.4 Night Vision

The camera automatically switches to infrared night vision in low-light conditions, providing clear black and white images. The 2 IR LEDs illuminate the area up to 10-15 meters.

6. Maintenance

  • Firmware Updates: Check for available firmware updates through the Linklemo app or VMS software to ensure optimal performance and security.
  • Cable Inspection: Periodically inspect all cables for wear or damage, especially for outdoor installations.
