Setup and Installation

  1. Choose a Location: Select a flat surface outside your window or doorway that is easily visible from inside. For accurate readings, choose a location that is shaded from direct sunlight and away from heat sources or vents.
  2. Position the Bracket: Hold the aluminum offset mounting bracket against the chosen surface. Ensure the thermometer, when attached, will be positioned for optimal viewing and away from the window glass to prevent inaccurate readings due to heat transfer.
  3. Mark Drill Holes: Use a pencil to mark the positions for the mounting screws through the holes in the bracket.
  4. Install Screws: Using appropriate tools, install the provided mounting screws into the marked positions. Do not tighten completely at this stage.
  5. Attach Thermometer: Slide the thermometer onto the mounting bracket. The bracket is designed to hold the thermometer securely.
  6. Secure Thermometer: Once the thermometer is in place on the bracket, tighten the mounting screws to secure the entire assembly firmly to the surface.
