The motorized floor brush features a V-shaped design that helps to prevent hair and pet fur from tangling around the brush roll. This design guides debris towards the center, making it easier to collect into the dustbin and reducing the need for frequent manual cleaning of the brush.

7. Maintenance and Cleaning

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the lifespan of your vacuum cleaner.

  • To empty, press the one-button release mechanism located on the dustbin.
  • Carefully detach the dustbin from the main vacuum body.
  • Empty the contents into a trash bin.

The Yanhama H5 features a 12-cone, 7-stage filtration system, including a HEPA filter, designed to capture 99.99% of fine dust particles down to 0.1 µm.

  • Dust Cup Filter & Stainless Steel Filter: These components are washable. After emptying the dustbin, detach these filters and rinse them under running water. Ensure they are completely dry before reassembling.
  • HEPA Filter: The HEPA filter is also washable. Gently tap off loose dust, then rinse under cool running water until the water runs clear. Allow it to air dry completely for at least 24 hours before reinserting. Do not use a dryer or direct heat.
  • Frequency: Clean the dustbin and filters regularly, ideally after every few uses, or when suction power noticeably decreases.

7.3 Cleaning the Brush Roll

  • Periodically check the motorized floor brush for tangled hair or debris.
  • To remove the brush roll, typically there's a release latch on the side of the brush head. Consult the product diagram for specific instructions.
  • Use scissors or a cleaning tool to cut and remove any tangled hair or fibers.
  • Reinsert the brush roll, ensuring it clicks back into place securely.
