1. Product Overview
The AXFEE USB to HDMI 3.0/2.0 Adapter Cable is designed to convert video signals from a computer's USB port to an HDMI-enabled display device. This allows you to connect your PC or laptop to a TV, monitor, or projector, supporting both audio and video transmission. It is ideal for extending your desktop workspace, creating presentations, or enjoying multimedia content on a larger screen.
For optimal performance, it is recommended to use this adapter with a USB 3.0 interface. While backward compatible with USB 2.0, using it with USB 2.0 may result in reduced performance, such as freezing, flickering, or lower image quality due to insufficient bandwidth.

2. Setup Instructions
2.1 Driver Installation
- Connect the USB end of the adapter cable to an available USB 3.0 port on your computer (PC or laptop).
- Upon connection, your computer should detect the device. Navigate to 'My Computer' or 'This PC' and look for a new drive or icon representing the adapter. This typically contains the necessary driver software.
- Double-click the installation file (e.g., 'setup.exe' or similar) and follow the on-screen prompts to install the driver.
- Important Note: Some antivirus software may interfere with driver installation. If you encounter issues, temporarily disable your antivirus software before proceeding with the installation. Remember to re-enable it after the installation is complete.
- Once the driver is installed, a system reboot may be required for the changes to take effect.
- Re-installation of the driver is generally not required for subsequent uses on the same computer.
2.2 Connecting to a Display
- Ensure the driver is successfully installed on your computer.
- Connect the HDMI end of the adapter cable to the HDMI input port on your TV, monitor, or projector.
- Select the correct HDMI input source on your display device using its remote control or on-screen menu.
- Your computer's display should now be mirrored or extended to the connected display.
3. Operating Modes
The AXFEE USB to HDMI adapter supports two primary display modes:
- Mirror Mode: This mode duplicates your computer's screen onto the external display. Both screens will show the same content, which is useful for presentations or sharing content with an audience.
- Extended Mode: This mode extends your computer's desktop across both screens, allowing you to have different applications or windows open on each display. This is beneficial for multitasking and increasing productivity. Note: For extended mode functionality, your computer's system must have a dedicated graphics card.

3.1 Display Settings
After connecting, you can adjust display settings through your operating system:
- Windows: Right-click on your desktop, select 'Display settings' or 'Screen resolution'. Here you can choose between 'Duplicate these displays' (Mirror Mode) or 'Extend these displays' (Extended Mode), and adjust resolution and orientation.
- macOS: Go to 'System Preferences' > 'Displays'. You can arrange displays, set resolutions, and choose between 'Mirror Displays' or use them as separate spaces.
4. Maintenance
To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your AXFEE USB to HDMI adapter cable, follow these maintenance guidelines:
- Keep the cable clean and free from dust and debris. Use a soft, dry cloth for cleaning.
- Avoid bending or twisting the cable excessively, especially near the connectors, as this can damage internal wires.
- Store the cable in a cool, dry place when not in use, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
- Do not expose the cable to liquids or moisture.
- Handle the connectors gently when plugging in or unplugging to prevent damage to the ports or pins.

5. Troubleshooting
- No Display/Signal:
- Ensure the driver is correctly installed. Re-install if necessary.
- Verify that the HDMI cable is securely connected to both the adapter and the display device.
- Check that the display device is set to the correct HDMI input source.
- Try connecting the adapter to a different USB port on your computer.
- Restart your computer and the display device.
- Flickering/Low Quality Display:
- Ensure the adapter is connected to a USB 3.0 port on your computer. Using a USB 2.0 port may result in reduced performance.
- Check your display resolution settings. Ensure it is set to a supported resolution (up to 1920x1080@60Hz).
- Try a different HDMI cable if possible.
- Driver Installation Issues:
- Temporarily disable any antivirus software during driver installation.
- Ensure you have administrator privileges on your computer to install software.
- Download the latest driver from the manufacturer's website if the embedded driver is not working.
- No Audio:
- Check your computer's sound settings and ensure the HDMI output is selected as the default playback device.
- Verify that the display device's volume is turned up and not muted.
