4. Drone Components

5. Remote Controller Overview

The remote controller is your primary interface for controlling the K10 Max Drone. It operates on a 2.4GHz frequency for anti-interference communication.

• Left Joystick (Throttle/Direction Lever): Controls ascent/descent and rotation (yaw).

6. Setup

6.1. Charging the Battery

1. Connect the flight battery to the USB charging cable.
2. Plug the USB charging cable into a 5V/1A USB power adapter (not included).
3. The indicator light on the charging cable will show charging status (refer to the cable's specific instructions for light indications).
4. Once fully charged, disconnect the battery. Charging time is approximately 60-90 minutes.

6.2. Installing Propellers and Protective Frames

1. Unfold the drone's arms.
2. Attach the propeller protective frames to each motor arm. Ensure they click securely into place.
3. If replacing propellers, use the provided screwdriver to remove the old ones. Match the new propellers to the correct motor (indicated by markings on the propeller and motor shaft, usually A and B).

6.3. Installing the Flight Battery

1. Open the battery compartment on the drone.
2. Insert the fully charged flight battery into the compartment, ensuring it is oriented correctly.
3. Close the battery compartment cover securely.

6.4. Remote Controller Battery Installation

1. Open the battery cover on the back of the remote controller.
2. Insert 3x AAA batteries (not included) according to the polarity markings.
3. Close the battery cover.

6.5. Pairing the Drone and Remote Controller

1. Place the drone on a flat, level surface.
2. Press and hold the drone's power button until the indicator lights start flashing.
3. Turn on the remote controller by pressing its power switch.
4. Push the left joystick (throttle) all the way up, then all the way down. The drone's indicator lights will stop flashing and remain solid, indicating successful pairing.

6.6. App Installation and Wi-Fi Connection

1. Download the designated drone control app (refer to the manual for the specific app name or QR code) from your smartphone's app store.
2. Turn on the drone.
3. On your smartphone, go to Wi-Fi settings and connect to the drone's Wi-Fi network (usually named something like 'K10 Max_XXXXXX').

7. Operating Instructions

7.1. Pre-Flight Checks

• Ensure drone and remote controller batteries are fully charged.
• Check that propellers are securely attached and undamaged.
• Verify that the drone is paired with the remote controller.
• Confirm a clear flight area, free from obstacles and people.

7.2. Takeoff and Landing

• One-Key Takeoff: After pairing and calibration, press the 'One Key Takeoff' button on the remote. The drone will automatically ascend to a stable hovering altitude.
• Manual Takeoff: Push both joysticks down and outwards simultaneously to unlock the motors. Then, slowly push the left joystick (throttle) upwards to ascend.
• One-Key Landing: Press the 'One Key Landing' button. The drone will automatically descend and land.
• Manual Landing: Slowly pull the left joystick (throttle) downwards until the drone lands. Once landed, push both joysticks down and inwards to lock the motors.

7.3. Flight Controls

The K10 Max Drone offers 4 channels of control for comprehensive maneuverability:

• Ascent/Descent: Left joystick up/down.
• Forward/Backward: Right joystick up/down.
• Left/Right Sideways Flight: Right joystick left/right.
• Rotation (Yaw): Left joystick left/right.

7.4. Special Flight Features

• Optical Flow Positioning: The drone uses a bottom-mounted optical sensor to detect ground patterns, enabling precise and stable hovering, especially useful indoors or in areas with minimal wind.
