3. Setup
Unpacking and Placement

Litter Filling
- Ensure the waste drawer is empty and a new AstroPet special litter bag is installed.
- Pour clumping cat litter into the main basin. The litter level should be between the MIN and MAX fill lines indicated inside the unit. Do not overfill.
- Only use fine-grained clumping litter with a diameter of less than 3 mm. Other types of litter may impair the cleaning mechanism.

Power Connection and App Pairing
- Connect the power adapter to the device and plug it into a standard electrical outlet.
- Download the AstroPet app from your smartphone's app store.
- Follow the in-app instructions to pair your device with the app. This will enable remote control and monitoring features.

Automatic Cleaning Cycle

5. Maintenance
Emptying the Waste Drawer
- When the app or indicator light signals that the waste drawer is full, unplug the device.
- Pull out the waste drawer from the front of the unit.
- Carefully remove the sealed litter bag and dispose of it according to local regulations.
- Insert a new AstroPet special litter bag into the drawer and slide it back into the unit until it clicks into place.

Cleaning the Unit
For thorough cleaning, it is recommended to periodically disassemble and clean the main components.
- Unplug the device and remove all litter.
