6. Maintenance
The Weytoll thermostat requires minimal maintenance. Follow these guidelines:
- Cleaning: Wipe the display and casing with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners, solvents, or chemical sprays, as these can damage the surface.
- Avoid Moisture: Keep the thermostat dry. Exposure to excessive moisture can cause damage.
- Regular Checks: Periodically check the wiring connections to ensure they are secure. This should be done by a qualified professional.
7. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your thermostat, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
- Thermostat not powering on:
Check the main power supply to the thermostat. Ensure all wiring connections are secure and correct according to the installation instructions. - No heating/cooling:
Verify that the thermostat is set to the correct mode (heating). Check the set temperature; it should be higher than the current room temperature for heating to activate. Ensure the heating system itself is operational. - WiFi connection issues:
Ensure your router is broadcasting a 2.4GHz WiFi signal. Move the thermostat closer to the router if possible. Restart your router and the thermostat. Re-attempt the pairing process via the SmartLife/Tuya APP. - Inaccurate temperature readings:
Ensure the thermostat is not exposed to direct sunlight, drafts, or heat sources that could affect its internal sensor. If using an external sensor, ensure it is properly connected and positioned. - Keypad unresponsive:
Check if the Children Lock function is active (a lock icon may appear on the display). If so, deactivate it by pressing and holding the + and - keys for 5 seconds.
If the problem persists after attempting these solutions, please contact customer support.
