3. Setup Guide
3.1 Feeder Assembly and Nectar Filling
- Prepare the Feeder: Ensure the silicone gasket is properly sealed and the top cap is securely tightened.
- Attach Feeding Ports: Press the flower-shaped feeding ports firmly into their designated slots until snug.
- Fill with Nectar: Important: Do not open the top of the feeder to fill. Instead, rotate the base to align the fill line with the 'LOCK' position. Pull out the stopper from the bottom. Fill the transparent reservoir approximately 3/4 full with hummingbird nectar (not included). Push the stopper back in firmly.
- Secure Camera Module: Gently slide the camera module into the designated slot on the feeder unit until it clicks into place.
- Attach Antenna: Screw the antenna into the port on the back of the camera module.

3.2 Solar Panel and Mounting
- Mount Solar Panel: Attach the solar panel to a location that receives ample direct sunlight using the provided mounting bracket. Ensure the panel is facing upwards.
- Connect Solar Panel: Plug the solar panel's cable into the USB port on the back of the camera module. This will continuously charge the camera's internal battery.
- Hang the Feeder: Use the provided hanging chain and hook to hang the feeder in a suitable outdoor location, such as a tree branch, shepherd's hook, or patio overhang.

4.4 Solar Power Management
- The solar panel keeps the camera's internal battery charged. Ensure the panel is positioned to receive maximum sunlight for continuous operation.
5. Maintenance
5.1 Cleaning the Feeder
Regular cleaning is crucial to prevent mold and bacterial growth, which can harm hummingbirds. The feeder is designed for easy disassembly and cleaning.
- Disassemble: Carefully remove the camera module from the feeder unit. Detach the top cap and the base with feeding ports.
- Wash: Use warm water and a mild soap solution to clean all parts of the feeder. Utilize the provided cleaning brushes to reach narrow areas and feeding ports.
- Rinse Thoroughly: Rinse all components thoroughly with clean water to remove any soap residue.
- Dry: Allow all parts to air dry completely before reassembling and refilling.

5.2 Nectar Replacement
Replace nectar every 2-3 days, or more frequently in hot weather, to ensure freshness and prevent spoilage.
6. Troubleshooting
6.1 Leaking Issues
- Ensure all seals are tight and the top cap is securely closed.
- Always fill the feeder from the bottom plug, not the top.
- Verify the stopper is pushed in firmly after refilling.
6.2 Connectivity Problems
- Confirm your Wi-Fi network is 2.4GHz. The feeder does not support 5GHz networks.
- Ensure the feeder is within range of your Wi-Fi router.
- Check the camera's battery level. Recharge if necessary.
- If issues persist, try resetting the device and re-pairing with the CoolFly app.
6.3 AI Identification Accuracy
- AI recognition improves over time with more data. Ensure clear footage for better accuracy.
- If AI consistently identifies only "movement" instead of species, check camera placement for optimal bird viewing angles.
6.4 Bees/Ants at Feeder
- Verify the built-in ant moat is filled with water.
- Ensure feeding ports are clean and free of sticky residue that might attract insects.
- If bees are still an issue, consider relocating the feeder or ensuring the nectar level is not too high, preventing easy access for bees.
