Setup

Charging the Headset

Before first use, fully charge the headset. The built-in rechargeable battery provides up to 35 hours of listening time per charge.

  1. Connect the provided USB charging cable to the headset's charging port.
  2. Connect the other end of the cable to a powered USB port (e.g., on your console, PC, or a USB wall adapter).
  3. The LED indicator on the headset will show charging status (refer to the Operating section for LED indicator details).

Connecting to Devices

The Phantom Air headset supports dual-mode wireless connectivity: 2.4GHz low-latency wireless via USB transmitter and Bluetooth.

2.4GHz Wireless Connection (for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, PC)

  1. Insert the USB Wireless Transmitter into an available USB port on your PlayStation console or PC.
  2. Power on the headset by pressing and holding the Power button until the LED indicator illuminates.
  3. The headset should automatically pair with the USB transmitter. A solid LED indicator on both the headset and transmitter confirms a successful connection.
  4. On your console or PC, ensure the audio output is set to the "PDP Phantom Air Headset".

Bluetooth Connection (for PC, mobile devices, and other Bluetooth compatible devices)

  1. Ensure the headset is powered on.
  2. Press and hold the QuickSwitch button (refer to Figure 4 for location) for 3 seconds to enter Bluetooth pairing mode. The LED indicator will flash rapidly.
  3. On your device, enable Bluetooth and search for "PDP Phantom Air".
  4. Select the headset from the list of available devices to pair. The LED indicator on the headset will turn solid once connected.

  • QuickSwitch Button: Press and hold for 3 seconds to switch between 2.4GHz wireless and Bluetooth modes.
  • Microphone: Flip down to activate, flip up to mute (flip-to-mute functionality).

Microphone Usage

The headset features an A.I.-Based noise-cancelling microphone for clear communication.

  • To activate the microphone, flip it down into the speaking position.
  • To mute the microphone, flip it up towards the headband. You will hear an audible cue indicating the mic is muted.

Comfort and Fit

Maintenance

Troubleshooting

Problem Possible Solution
No audio or low volume.
  • Ensure the headset is powered on and fully charged.
  • Check the volume wheel on the headset and your device's audio settings.
  • For 2.4GHz connection, ensure the USB transmitter is securely plugged in and its LED is solid.
  • For Bluetooth, ensure the headset is paired and connected to your device.
Microphone not working.
  • Ensure the microphone is flipped down into the active position.
  • Check your device's microphone input settings to ensure the headset is selected.
  • Restart the headset and try reconnecting.
Headset not connecting.
  • Ensure the headset is in the correct mode (2.4GHz or Bluetooth) for your device. Use the QuickSwitch button to toggle.
  • For 2.4GHz, try unplugging and re-plugging the USB transmitter.
  • For Bluetooth, try unpairing and re-pairing the headset with your device.
  • Ensure no other wireless devices are causing interference.
