4. Setup Guide
Follow these steps to set up your TONOR TW820 Wireless Microphone System:
4.1. Connecting the Receiver
- Connect the provided power adapter to the DC 12V Power Jack on the rear of the receiver and plug it into a power outlet.
- Extend the antennas on the receiver for optimal signal reception.
- Connect the receiver to your audio mixer, amplifier, or powered speaker using either the 6.35mm (1/4") Audio Output Jack or the Balanced XLR Outputs.

Important Note: The system requires an amplifier or powered speaker to output sound. It is not compatible with laptops, iPads, cellphones, or AV receivers directly.
4.2. Preparing the Microphones
- Unscrew the bottom part of each microphone to access the battery compartment.
- Insert 2 x AA batteries into each microphone, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
- Screw the bottom part back on securely.
4.3. Powering On and Pairing
- Optimum Boot Order: Audio Mixer → Audio Amplifier → Speaker → Receiver → Microphone.
- Turn on the receiver by pressing its Power Switch. The LCD display will illuminate.
- Long press the Power Button on each microphone to turn them on. The microphones will automatically pair with the receiver. The microphone's LCD display will show battery level, signal indicator, and channel.
- Adjust the volume for each microphone using the Channel A/B Volume controls on the receiver.
5. Operating Instructions
5.1. Adjusting Microphone Frequency
The TONOR TW820 system offers 15 adjustable frequencies per UHF microphone to prevent interference. If you experience interference or wish to use multiple sets simultaneously (up to 15 sets), you can change the microphone's operating frequency:
- With the microphone powered on, briefly press the Channel Switch Button (located below the power button) to cycle through available frequencies.
- The receiver will automatically synchronize with the new frequency selected on the microphone.
5.2. Sound Quality and Range

The professional cardioid dynamic capsule ensures excellent, clear, pure, and full sound reproduction while effectively eliminating background noise and howling. The system provides a long transmission range of up to 60 meters (200 feet) in open space, ensuring stable signal transmission.

5.3. Powering Down
Optimum Shutdown Order: Microphone → Receiver → Speaker → Audio Amplifier → Audio Mixer.
- Long press the Power Button on each microphone to turn them off.
- Turn off the receiver by pressing its Power Switch.
- Turn off any connected audio equipment (speakers, amplifiers, mixers).
6. Maintenance
- Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the receiver and microphones. Do not use liquid cleaners or abrasive materials.
- Storage: When not in use for extended periods, remove batteries from the microphones to prevent leakage. Store the system in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
- Battery Replacement: Replace microphone batteries when the battery level indicator on the microphone's LCD display shows low power.
- Microphone Grille: The steel mesh grille is designed to be durable. Avoid dropping the microphones to prevent damage.
