1. Introduction

3. Setup and Installation

3.1 Mounting the Device

Attach the permanent mount to your bicycle's handlebar or stem using the provided rubber pad and rubber bands. Ensure the mount is securely fastened and the computer can be easily clicked into place.

3.2 Initial Power On and Time Zone Setting

Before first use, ensure the device is fully charged. Press and hold the left button to power on the device. It is crucial to set the correct time zone for all functions to operate normally.

3.3 GPS Positioning

The M1 uses GPS signals for tracking. For the first positioning, especially when switching regions (e.g., from factory to Europe), it may take 3-5 minutes to acquire a signal. Subsequent GPS positioning will typically take only about 30 seconds.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Button Functions

The M1 features three easy-sense buttons for intuitive control:

  • Left Button: Short press to start/pause recording. Long press to power off.
  • Middle Button: Short press to count a lap. Long press to save recorded data.
  • Right Button: Short press to navigate to the next page. Long press to enter/exit settings.

4.2 Data Display

The 2.9-inch LCD screen displays various cycling metrics, including current speed, average speed, max speed, clock, temperature, altitude, gradient, ascent, trip distance, trip time, odometer, and lap data. Heart rate, cadence, and power require additional ANT+ sensors.

4.3 ANT+ Sensor Pairing

The M1 is compatible with ANT+ sensors for heart rate, speed, cadence, and power meters. To pair a sensor, navigate to the settings menu and select the sensor pairing option. Ensure the sensor is active and within range.

4.4 App Synchronization (CYCPLUS FIT & Strava)

Download the "CYCPLUS FIT" app from the App Store or Google Play. Connect your M1 via Bluetooth to the app to synchronize ride data, analyze your performance, and update firmware. The app also allows you to sync your data directly to Strava and TrainingPeaks.

5. Maintenance

5.1 Charging the Battery

The M1 has a built-in 1100mAh battery. Charge the device using the provided Micro-USB cable. A full charge takes approximately 3 hours and provides over 30 hours of usage.

5.2 Waterproofing (IPX6)

The M1 is IPX6 waterproof, meaning it is protected against powerful water jets. It can be used in rainy conditions without concern. Avoid submerging the device in water.

5.3 Cleaning

Clean the device with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.

6. Troubleshooting

6.1 GPS Positioning Takes Too Long

The first GPS positioning in a new region (e.g., Europe) can take 3-5 minutes as the device switches from the factory satellite to local positioning satellites. Subsequent positioning will be much faster, typically around 30 seconds. Ensure you are in an open area with a clear view of the sky.

6.2 Incorrect Speed Readings

If the speed reading appears too high for the first 15-30 seconds after starting a ride, this can be a temporary anomaly. Ensure your wheel circumference is correctly set in the device settings. If using external sensors, verify they are properly paired and functioning.

6.3 Device Not Turning On/Off or Responding

Ensure the device is charged. If unresponsive, try a soft reset by holding down all three buttons simultaneously for a few seconds. If the issue persists, contact customer support.
