5. Setup

5.1 Initial Charging

Before first use, fully charge the hair clipper. This typically takes about 3 hours.

1. Connect the USB charging cable to the charging base or directly to the clipper's charging port.
2. Plug the USB cable into a compatible USB power adapter (not included) or a USB port on a computer/power bank.
3. Place the clipper onto the charging base, ensuring proper contact. The indicator light on the clipper will illuminate to show it is charging.
4. Once fully charged, the indicator light may change color or turn off (refer to product specific light behavior if available, otherwise assume it indicates charge status).

5.2 Attaching Guide Combs

To achieve desired hair lengths, attach the appropriate guide comb:

1. Ensure the clipper is turned off.
2. Select the desired guide comb (e.g., 1.5mm, 3mm, etc.).
3. Align the comb with the clipper blade and slide it on until it clicks securely into place.
4. To remove, gently pull the comb away from the blade.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1 General Hair Cutting

For best results, ensure hair is clean and dry before cutting.

1. Turn on the clipper by pressing the power button.
2. Start with a longer guide comb if you are unsure of the desired length, and gradually switch to shorter combs if needed.
3. Hold the clipper with the blade flat against the head. Move the clipper slowly against the direction of hair growth.
4. Use overlapping strokes to ensure an even cut.
5. Regularly brush away cut hair from the blade to maintain cutting efficiency.

6.2 Adjusting Blade Length (Without Guide Comb)

The adjustable lever on the side of the clipper allows for fine-tuning the cutting length from 0.5mm to 3mm without a guide comb.

• Move the lever up for a shorter cut (closer to 0.5mm).
• Move the lever down for a longer cut (closer to 3mm).

6.3 Beard Trimming

The KEMEI 2373 can also be used for beard trimming and shaping.

1. Ensure your beard is clean and dry.
2. Use a guide comb for overall length, or use the adjustable blade for precise lines and shaping.
3. Trim against the direction of hair growth for an even trim.
4. Use the clipper's edge for sharp lines around the neck and cheeks.

7. Maintenance and Cleaning

Regular cleaning and maintenance will ensure optimal performance and extend the lifespan of your clipper.

7.1 Cleaning the Blades

1. Turn off the clipper and unplug it from any power source.
2. Use the included cleaning brush to brush away any loose hair from the blades and the area around them.
3. For a more thorough cleaning, you may carefully remove the blade assembly (refer to specific instructions if provided by manufacturer for blade removal, otherwise avoid forcing).
4. Do not rinse the entire clipper under water. The blades may be rinsed if they are detachable and specified as washable, but ensure the main body remains dry.
5. Allow blades to air dry completely before reattaching or storing.

7.2 Oiling the Blades

To maintain cutting efficiency and prevent blade dulling, oil the blades regularly (after every few uses or as needed).

1. Apply 1-2 drops of the included lubricating oil across the top of the blades.
2. Turn on the clipper for a few seconds to allow the oil to distribute evenly.
3. Wipe off any excess oil with a soft cloth.
