- Discard the boiled water. Repeat this process 2-3 times to remove any manufacturing residues and ensure pure taste.

6. Operating Instructions
Filling the Kettle:
- Unscrew the lid and fill the kettle with fresh water.
- Do not fill below the MIN line or above the MAX line (370ml). Overfilling may cause water to overflow during boiling.
- For boiling water, it is recommended to keep the lid open to allow steam to escape and prevent pressure buildup. If boiling with the lid closed, open the lid after 2 minutes of heating to release pressure.
- Securely screw the lid back on if not boiling with an open lid.
Temperature Selection and Heating:
- Connect the power cord to the kettle's port and then plug it into a suitable electrical outlet. The LCD display will illuminate.
- Press the power button to turn on the kettle.
- Use the temperature selection button to cycle through the 6 preset temperature options:
- 113°F (45°C): Ideal for Baby Formula
- 140°F (60°C): Ideal for Scented Tea
- 158°F (70°C): Ideal for White Tea / Instant Oatmeal
- 176°F (80°C): Ideal for Green Tea
- 194°F (90°C): Ideal for Coffee / Oolong Tea
- 212°F (100°C): Ideal for Black Tea / Boiling Water
- Once your desired temperature is selected, the kettle will begin heating. The LCD display will show the real-time temperature as it rises.
- The kettle will automatically shut off and beep when the selected temperature is reached.
Keep Warm Function:
The double-wall insulation allows the kettle to act as a vacuum insulated water bottle, keeping water warm for up to 6 hours when unplugged. This is a passive insulation feature; the kettle does not actively maintain temperature when unplugged.
7. Maintenance and Cleaning
Regular Cleaning:
- Always unplug the kettle and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
- Wipe the exterior of the kettle with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaning materials, or steel wool.
- Rinse the interior with clean water. Do not immerse the kettle in water.
Descaling:
Over time, mineral deposits (limescale) may build up inside the kettle, especially in hard water areas. This can affect performance and taste. Descale your kettle regularly (e.g., monthly or bi-monthly) using one of the following methods:
- Vinegar Method: Fill the kettle with 1 part white vinegar and 2 parts water. Let it soak for at least 30 minutes, or boil the solution. Rinse thoroughly several times with fresh water.
- Citric Acid Method: Dissolve 1 tablespoon of citric acid powder in 2 cups of water. Pour into the kettle and boil. Let it sit for 15-20 minutes, then rinse thoroughly.
After descaling, boil fresh water in the kettle 2-3 times and discard to remove any residual cleaning solution.
8. Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Kettle does not turn on/heat. | Not properly plugged in; no power from outlet; kettle is waterless (boil-dry protection activated). | Ensure the power cord is securely plugged into both the kettle and a working outlet. Check the power source. Add water to the kettle. |
| Water does not reach desired temperature. | Incorrect temperature setting selected; limescale buildup. | Verify the correct temperature setting. Descale the kettle if necessary. |
| Water has an unusual taste/smell. | First use residues; limescale buildup; improper cleaning. | Perform initial cleaning steps (boil and discard water several times). Descale the kettle. Ensure thorough rinsing after cleaning. |
| Steam/hot water escapes from lid. | Lid not properly secured; overfilling; vent hole blocked. | Ensure the lid is tightly screwed on. Do not overfill past the MAX line. Check if the vent hole is clear. For boiling, consider leaving the lid open. |
