Common Wiring Configuration (Consult specific product diagram if available):

  • Switch Contacts (NO/NC): These terminals control the main circuit.
    • Normally Open (NO): The circuit is open (off) when the button is not pressed and closes (on) when pressed.
    • Normally Closed (NC): The circuit is closed (on) when the button is not pressed and opens (off) when pressed.
  • LED Terminals (+/-): These terminals power the integrated LED.
    • Connect the positive (+) terminal of the LED to a 12V DC power source.
    • Connect the negative (-) terminal of the LED to the ground (GND) of the 12V DC power source.
    • The LED can be wired to illuminate independently or only when the button is pressed, depending on your application.

Ensure all connections are secure and insulated to prevent short circuits.

6. Operating Instructions

This is a momentary push button switch. To operate:

  1. Press the button to activate the switch contacts. The contacts will change state (e.g., from open to closed).
  2. Release the button, and the contacts will return to their original state.

The integrated Green LED will illuminate when power is supplied to its dedicated terminals, as wired during installation.

7. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the metal surface of the switch. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Inspection: Periodically check wiring connections for looseness or corrosion. Ensure the switch is securely mounted.
  • No internal user-serviceable parts. Do not attempt to disassemble the switch.

8. Troubleshooting

  • LED Not Lighting:
    • Check if 12V DC power is correctly supplied to the LED terminals.
    • Verify correct polarity (+/-) for the LED connection.
    • Ensure the power source is active.
  • Switch Not Activating Connected Device:
    • Confirm that the main circuit is receiving power.
    • Check the wiring of the switch contacts (NO/NC) to ensure they are correctly connected to your device.
    • Test the continuity of the switch contacts with a multimeter if available.
  • Loose Switch:
    • Tighten the mounting nut on the rear of the switch.
