Safety Information

Setup

  1. Unpacking: Carefully unpack all components and inspect for any shipping damage. Report any damage to the carrier immediately.
  2. Assembly: Follow the detailed assembly instructions provided with your KATOOL equipment. Ensure all fasteners are tightened securely.
  3. Placement: Position the tire changer and wheel balancer on a level, stable surface capable of supporting the equipment's weight and the weight of the tires/wheels. Ensure adequate clearance around the machines for safe operation.
  4. Power Connection: Connect the equipment to a 120V 1PH power supply as specified. Ensure the electrical outlet is properly grounded.
  5. Air Supply (Tire Changer): Connect the tire changer to an air compressor capable of providing 0.8-1.0Mpa (116-145psi) air pressure.

Operating Instructions - KATOOL KT-T810 Tire Changer

1. Bead Breaking

Position the wheel on the side-mounted bead breaker. Use the foot pedal controls to apply the 10 bar bead breaker force, separating the tire bead from the rim. Ensure the tire is flush against the machine to prevent movement during bead breaking.

2. Tire Removal and Mounting

  1. Place the wheel onto the turntable and secure it using the clamping jaws. The machine supports outside clamping from 12"-22" and inside clamping from 14"-24".
  2. Adjust the fast swing arm and the 40mm hex bar for mounting to the correct position. The mounting head is made of stainless steel with a plastic cover to protect the rim.
  3. Use the tire lever and the machine's rotation to carefully remove the tire from the rim.
  4. Apply tire lubricant to the beads of the new tire and the rim.
  5. Position the new tire on the rim and use the machine's rotation and mounting head to carefully mount the tire onto the rim.

3. Tire Inflation

Once the tire is mounted, use the inflation gauge with pedal control to inflate the tire to the manufacturer's recommended pressure. The closed body design protects internal parts during inflation.

Operating Instructions - KATOOL KT-B700 Wheel Balancer

1. Wheel Mounting

Mount the wheel securely onto the balancer's shaft. Ensure the wheel is centered and properly fastened using the appropriate cones and quick-release nut.

2. Measurement and Balancing

  1. Input the wheel's rim diameter, width, and offset into the digital display. The KT-B700 offers various balance modes for different rim types to ensure precision.
  2. Lower the wheel guard and initiate the spin cycle. The machine will measure the imbalance.
  3. The display will indicate the amount and location of weight needed.

3. Weight Placement

Apply the indicated balance weights to the inner and outer edges of the rim as directed by the machine. Re-spin the wheel to verify balance. The machine features built-in fault diagnosis and self-calibration programs for accuracy.

Maintenance

  • Regularly clean the equipment, especially the turntable, clamping jaws, and mounting head, to prevent debris buildup.
  • Lubricate moving parts as recommended by the manufacturer to ensure smooth operation and extend the lifespan of the machine.
  • Inspect air lines and connections for leaks or damage.
  • Check the oiler and filter in the pneumatic system for the tire changer to ensure effective filtration and lubrication.
