4. Setup and Installation

The EMKE Thermostatic Shower Column is designed for wall-mounted installation. Professional installation is recommended. Refer to the included diagrams for specific mounting points and connections.

4.1. Pre-Installation Checks

  • Ensure the wall is structurally sound to support the weight of the shower column.
  • Confirm hot and cold water supply lines are accessible and correctly marked.
  • Gather all necessary tools (e.g., drill, level, wrench, sealant).

4.2. Installation Steps

  1. Turn off the main water supply.
  2. Mark the drilling points on the wall according to the provided template or measurements.
  3. Drill holes and insert wall plugs.
  4. Connect the hot and cold water lines to the shower column. Ensure proper sealing with plumber's tape or sealant.
  5. Mount the shower column to the wall using the provided screws and brackets.
  6. Attach the rain shower head, hand shower, and child hand shower to their respective connections.
  7. Install the required batteries (4x AA for the main unit, 1x CR2032 for the remote) into their compartments.
  8. Turn on the main water supply and check for leaks.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1. Preheating Function

The preheating function allows for quick flushing of cold water before showering. Press the preheating button to activate this feature.

6. Maintenance

6.1. Cleaning

  • Clean the shower column and heads regularly with a soft cloth and mild, non-abrasive cleaner.
  • Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive sponges, which can damage the Anthracite Matte finish.
  • The hand shower features self-cleaning nozzles. For the rain shower head, periodically wipe the nozzles to remove limescale buildup.

6.2. Filter Replacement

The shower system includes a dechlorination filter. It is recommended to replace this filter every six months to maintain water quality and optimal performance.

6.3. Battery Replacement
