Typically, components include various metal frame pieces (A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H, J, K, L, M, N, O, P, Q, R, U, V), slats, and hardware (S1-S12).
Note: The assembly video for this product (Model OTC01) shows a detailed parts list and step-by-step assembly. While we cannot embed the video directly due to creator type restrictions, we recommend consulting the physical manual's parts list for visual identification.
5. Assembly Instructions
Important: Do not fully tighten any bolts until all components are correctly aligned and fixed. This allows for minor adjustments during assembly.
Step 1: Prepare Components
Unpack all components and lay them out on a clean, soft surface to prevent scratches. Identify each part using the labels (e.g., A, B, S1, S2) and the parts list in your manual.
Step 2: Assemble Headboards and Footboards
- Attach the vertical support bars (e.g., V) to the main headboard/footboard frames (e.g., P, K) using the specified bolts (e.g., S1).
- Ensure the pieces are correctly oriented as per the diagrams in your manual.
Step 3: Assemble Bed Frames (Upper, Lower, and Trundle)
- Connect the side rails (e.g., D, B, H) to the assembled headboards/footboards using the appropriate bolts (e.g., S1, S2, S3).
- Insert the bed slats (e.g., F) into the designated slots on the side rails. Secure them with the provided fasteners (e.g., S1).
- Repeat this process for the upper bunk frame, lower bunk frame, and the trundle bed frame.
Step 4: Connect Lower Bunk Frames
- Position the two lower twin bed frames side-by-side.
- Attach the connecting support bars (e.g., U, Q, G) between the two lower bed frames using the specified bolts (e.g., S2, S3, S4, S5). These bars provide stability when the beds are used separately or as part of the triple bunk configuration.

Figure 3: The EMKK Metal Bunk Bed can be assembled as a triple bunk or two separate twin beds with a trundle.
Step 5: Install Upper Bunk
- Carefully lift the assembled upper bunk frame and align its support posts with the designated connection points on the lower bunk frames. This step requires at least two people.
- Secure the upper bunk to the lower frames using the long bolts and nuts (e.g., S6, S7) as indicated in your manual.
- Attach the side ladders (e.g., N) to the upper bunk frame using the specified hardware.
Step 6: Final Tightening
Once all components are in place and aligned, systematically tighten all bolts and screws using the provided tools (e.g., S8, S9, S10, S11, S12). Ensure all connections are secure but do not overtighten.

6. Operating Instructions
Using the Trundle Bed
The trundle bed is designed for easy access and storage. Simply pull the trundle frame out from under the lower bunk when needed. The wheels attached to the trundle can be locked to keep it stable during use. Push it back under the lower bunk for compact storage.
Converting to Two Separate Beds
This bunk bed can be separated into two individual twin beds. To do so, carefully reverse the assembly steps for connecting the upper bunk to the lower frames. Ensure all connecting hardware is removed and store it safely. The two lower bed frames can then be used independently.
7. Maintenance
- Cleaning: Wipe the metal frame with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners that could damage the finish.
- Regular Inspection: Periodically check all bolts, screws, and connections to ensure they remain tight. Retighten as necessary to maintain stability and safety.
- Avoid Overloading: Do not exceed the specified weight capacities for each bunk and the trundle.
8. Troubleshooting
- Squeaking Noises: If the bed makes squeaking noises, check all bolts and connections and tighten them. Ensure the bed is on a level surface.
- Instability: If the bed feels unstable, verify that all parts are correctly assembled and all fasteners are securely tightened. Ensure the bed is placed on a flat, even floor.
- Missing or Damaged Parts: If you find any missing or damaged parts upon receiving the package, please contact customer support immediately for free replacement parts.
