1. Introduction and Safety Information
Thank you for choosing the NELO Electric Kettle. This manual provides important information for the safe and efficient use of your appliance. Please read all instructions carefully before first use and retain for future reference.
Important Safety Precautions
- Always ensure the kettle is placed on a stable, flat, heat-resistant surface.
- Do not immerse the kettle, power base, cord, or plug in water or other liquids.
- Avoid contact with hot surfaces. Use handles and knobs.
- Do not operate the kettle with a damaged cord or plug, or after the appliance malfunctions or has been damaged in any manner.
- This appliance is for household use only.
- Do not fill above the 'MAX' line or below the 'MIN' line to prevent boiling dry or spilling.
- Always close the lid securely before operating.
- Unplug from outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Allow to cool before putting on or taking off parts, and before cleaning the appliance.
- The kettle is equipped with automatic shut-off and boil-dry protection for safety.
- The kettle is made with high-quality borosilicate glass and is BPA-Free. It is cETL approved for optimal safety standards.
2. Product Overview and Components
The NELO Electric Kettle is designed for efficient water heating with precise temperature control. It features a digital display and multi-colored LED indicator lights.

Key Features:
- Rapid Boiling: Heats water in approximately 3 minutes with 1100W power.

3. Initial Setup
Before First Use:
- Remove all packaging materials and labels from the kettle and power base.
- Wipe the exterior of the kettle with a damp cloth. Do not immerse the kettle or power base in water.
- Fill the kettle with fresh water to the 'MAX' line.
- Boil the water at 212°F (100°C) and then discard it. Repeat this process 2-3 times to clean the interior and remove any manufacturing residues.
- Rinse the interior of the kettle with clean water.
Placing the Kettle:
Place the power base on a dry, flat, and stable surface. Ensure the power cord is not dangling or in contact with hot surfaces. The kettle can be placed on the 360° swivel base from any direction.
4. Operating Instructions
Filling the Kettle:
- Press the button on the handle to open the 90° pop-up lid.
- Fill the kettle with the desired amount of fresh water. Do not fill below the 'MIN' mark or above the 'MAX' mark (1.0L).
- Close the lid firmly until it clicks into place.
Boiling Water:
- Place the filled kettle securely on the power base.
- Plug the power cord into a standard electrical outlet. The digital display will illuminate.
- Press the On/Off button (
) to start the boiling process. The kettle will default to 212°F (100°C) if no other temperature is selected. - The digital display will show the real-time temperature as the water heats.
- Once the water reaches 212°F (100°C), the kettle will automatically shut off.

Using Temperature Presets:
The kettle offers 5 preset temperatures for various beverages:
- 104°F (40°C): Delicate teas
- 158°F (70°C): Green teas
- 176°F (80°C): White teas
- 195°F (90°C): Oolong teas
- 212°F (100°C): Black/Herbal teas, instant coffee, noodles, oatmeal

- Fill the kettle with water and place it on the power base.
- Press the Temperature Preset button (
) repeatedly to cycle through the desired temperature settings. The selected temperature will be displayed. - The kettle will begin heating to the chosen temperature. The digital display will show the current water temperature.
- Once the target temperature is reached, the kettle will automatically shut off.

Keep Warm Function:
After reaching the selected temperature, the kettle can maintain this temperature for up to 2 hours.
- Select your desired temperature preset as described above.
- After the kettle reaches the target temperature and automatically shuts off, press the Keep Warm button (
). The kettle will periodically reheat the water to maintain the set temperature for up to 2 hours. - To deactivate the Keep Warm function, press the On/Off button or lift the kettle from its base.
5. Maintenance and Cleaning
Regular cleaning and maintenance will ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your NELO Electric Kettle.
Cleaning the Exterior:
- Always unplug the kettle and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
- Wipe the exterior with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads, as they may scratch the surface.
- Ensure the power base and cord remain dry.
Cleaning the Interior (Descaling):
Mineral deposits (limescale) can build up inside the kettle, especially in hard water areas. Descaling regularly will help maintain heating efficiency.
- Fill the kettle with a solution of equal parts water and white vinegar (or a commercial descaling agent) up to the 'MAX' line.
- Let the solution soak for at least 30 minutes, or boil the solution if the buildup is severe.
- Discard the solution and rinse the interior thoroughly with fresh water several times.
- If a vinegar smell persists, boil fresh water in the kettle and discard it. Repeat as necessary.
6. Troubleshooting
If you encounter any issues with your kettle, please refer to the following common problems and solutions:
