3. Safety Information
WARNING: Carbon monoxide is a colorless, odorless, and tasteless gas that can be fatal. This device is intended to detect carbon monoxide gas. It is not a substitute for proper ventilation and maintenance of fuel-burning appliances.
- Ensure the detector is always charged and functioning correctly.
- Do not block the sensor opening.
- Regularly test the device as per instructions.
- If an alarm sounds, immediately move to fresh air and seek medical attention if symptoms of CO poisoning are present.
- This device is designed for active monitoring and will automatically power off after 30 minutes of inactivity. It is not intended for continuous, passive monitoring without user interaction.
4. Setup and Initial Use
4.1 Powering On
- Press and hold the power button (⏻) located on the front of the device.
- The device will display "Starting Please Wait" and then perform an auto-check, including vibration and light tests.
- Once the auto-check is complete, the device will display the current CO level (initially 0 PPM in fresh air) and other information like battery status, date, and time.
4.2 Setting Units (PPM)
The device allows you to set the unit of measurement for CO concentration. To change the unit to Parts Per Million (PPM):
- From the main display, press the 'OK' button (often the power button or a dedicated 'OK' button) to enter the menu.
- Use the arrow buttons (▲/▼) to navigate to "Set Unit".
- Press 'OK' to select.
- Select "PPM" using the arrow buttons and confirm with 'OK'.
5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Reading the Display
The backlit LCD screen displays the current CO concentration, battery level, date, and time. The unit of measurement (e.g., PPM) will also be shown.
5.2 Menu Navigation
Press the 'OK' button to access the main menu. Use the ▲/▼ buttons to scroll through options and 'OK' to select. Menu options typically include:
- Alarm Record: View past alarm events.
- Set Low Alarm: Adjust the threshold for the low CO alarm.
- Set High Alarm: Adjust the threshold for the high CO alarm.
- Zero Adjust: Calibrate the sensor to a zero CO reading in fresh air.
- Calibration: Access calibration settings (may require a password).
- Set Time: Adjust the device's date and time.
- Set Backlight: Adjust backlight settings.
- Set Password: Set or change a password for certain settings.
- Set Unit: Change the unit of CO measurement (e.g., PPM).
5.3 Powering Off
To turn off the device, press and hold the power button (⏻). The screen will ask "POWER OFF ?". Select "YES" using the arrow buttons and confirm with 'OK'.
6. Alarm Modes and Settings
The AS-E10 features three distinct alarm modes to ensure you are alerted to dangerous CO levels:
- Audible Alarm: A loud sound alerts you to the presence of CO.
- Red Light Alarm: A flashing red light provides a visual warning.
- Vibration Alarm: The device vibrates, useful in noisy environments or when carried on your person.
These alarms activate when the CO concentration reaches the preset low or high alarm thresholds. You can adjust these thresholds in the device's menu.

7. Charging
The AS-E10 is equipped with a rechargeable lithium battery. When the battery indicator in the upper right corner of the screen shows low power, connect the device to a power source using the provided USB cable.
- Locate the USB-C charging port on the side of the device (often protected by a sliding cover).
- Connect the USB cable to the device and to a standard USB power adapter (not included) or a computer USB port.
- The battery indicator will show charging status.
- A full charge provides approximately 30 hours of operation without an alarm.

8. Maintenance
- Cleaning: Wipe the device with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Storage: Store the detector in its provided storage bag when not in use to protect it from dust and damage.
- Calibration: The device has a calibration function. Refer to the menu for calibration options. Regular calibration ensures accuracy.
- Battery Care: Charge the battery regularly, even if not in frequent use, to maintain battery health.
9. Troubleshooting
- Device powers off automatically: The AS-E10 is designed to power off after 30 minutes of no operation to save power. This is a feature, not a malfunction. For continuous monitoring, periodic user interaction (e.g., pressing a button) is required to keep it active.
- Inaccurate readings: Ensure the device has been zero-adjusted in fresh air. Avoid using the device in areas with extreme temperatures or humidity, or where the sensor might be obstructed.
- No display/Device won't turn on: Check the battery level and charge the device if necessary. Ensure the power button is pressed and held correctly.
- Alarm sounds unexpectedly: Move to fresh air immediately. If the alarm persists in fresh air, the sensor may require calibration or service.
