4. Setup
4.1. Charging the Speaker
- Connect the provided Type-C USB cable to the charging port on the JBL Go 4 speaker.
- Connect the other end of the USB cable to a compatible USB power adapter (not included).
- The LED indicator will show charging status. A full charge typically takes approximately 3 hours.
4.2. Powering On/Off
- To power on, press and hold the Power button until the indicator light illuminates.
- To power off, press and hold the Power button again until the indicator light turns off.
4.3. Bluetooth Pairing
- Power on the JBL Go 4 speaker.
- Press the Bluetooth button on the speaker. The LED indicator will flash blue, indicating it is in pairing mode.
- On your mobile device, navigate to the Bluetooth settings and select "JBL Go 4" from the list of available devices.
- Once connected, the Bluetooth LED indicator will turn solid blue.
5. Operating Instructions
5.1. Audio Playback
- After successful Bluetooth pairing, begin playing audio from your connected device.
- Use the Play/Pause button on the speaker to control playback.
- Adjust volume using the Volume Up (+) and Volume Down (-) buttons on the speaker or your connected device.
5.2. Multi-Speaker Connection (Auracast)
The JBL Go 4 supports Auracast for connecting multiple compatible speakers.
- Ensure all JBL Auracast-enabled speakers are powered on and in close proximity.
- On the primary speaker (the one connected to your device), press the Auracast button.
- On the secondary speakers, press the Auracast button. They will automatically connect to the primary speaker.
- For stereo sound, pair two Go 4 speakers via the JBL Portable app.
5.3. Playtime Boost
To extend battery life, activate Playtime Boost:
- Press the Playtime Boost button (if available, or refer to the Quick Start Guide for specific button functionality). This feature can add up to 2 hours of playback time.

7. Maintenance
